There’s nothing like a good stretch first thing in the morning! Everyone enjoyed a refreshing chair yoga session with Joan today. We’re so blessed to move our bodies, share smiles, and enjoy great company while doing so.

As the holidays draw near, it’s so important and such a true blessing to spend time with family and those we consider our close friends. We are reminded to be thankful for each new day, every single family member, and our close friends. We didn’t get a ton of photos because we were present in the moment, which, in all honesty, is better than pictures for those who were present. I am so extremely grateful for the 78 (yes, I said 78) family members who showed up to embrace this day with the residents of our community. As the Executive Director, I am incredibly grateful for our residents, their families, and all the team members for such a fantastic gathering. Lastly, a special shout-out to Carlos, our Dining Services Director, and his team for their commitment to a wonderful meal today.

This Veterans Day, our hearts are filled with profound respect and gratitude as we honor the resident veterans of The Bridge at Hickory Woods. It is a privilege to pause from our daily tasks to sincerely recognize the extraordinary individuals who live within our community.

To each of our veterans, your service is a testament to unwavering courage, commitment, and sacrifice. The freedoms we cherish today are built upon the foundation of your dedication. As the Executive Director, I am deeply honored to be able to take this time to reflect on your heroism. Your stories, your experiences, and your presence enrich our lives immeasurably.

We Are Better Together!

At Century Park, we believe the most meaningful way to show our appreciation for our teams is by standing beside them—working hand in hand to support the incredible service they provide every day.

Service Day is a time when Century Park leadership partners with associates in a selected department at our communities around the country in caring for the residents they serve. Through this act of service, we strengthen our teams and build even stronger relationships with our team members.

Today, our leadership team and sales teams are joining forces with our community partners for a special Sales Service Day dedicated to honoring and supporting local veterans. Together, we’ll be reaching out to veteran groups, attending local events, and inviting veterans to learn more about the supportive environments our communities offer. Whether it's through hosting informational sessions, delivering care packages, or simply saying thank you, we’re proud to stand alongside those who have served.

Please drop off nonperishable food items at your local food bank, or make a monetary donation via their website. Anything you give will help keep pantries and bellies full!

• Low-sodium soups & stews
• Low-sugar breakfast cereal
• Canned fruit
• Peanut butter
• Whole-grain rice, pasta, & oats

• Bottled water
