George E. Weems Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that provides vital care services to the Franklin County community and its visitors.

Weems Memorial wants you to know "Help is Here!" Though Franklin County is a rural area, you don't need to travel to one of the large urban hospitals in Tallahassee or Panama City for care. Should more invasive care become necessary, Weems Hospital has a fleet of ambulances with well-trained paramedics and EMTs. Help consists of a well-equipped emergency room—open 24 hours a day, everyday. Physicians are experienced emergency room doctors. Services Include:

Diagnostic X-ray and Cat Scan
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Medical-Surgical Care

For the second year in a row, the Brothers of Chi Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in Tallahassee generously donated toys to Weems Memorial Hospital, helping spread holiday joy to children in our community. 🎁💙

Weems was proud to partner with Davis Child Development Center to help facilitate distribution. We are grateful for the continued generosity and partnership with organizations like Omega Psi Phi. ✨

🎄 Holiday cheer was on full display at Weems Memorial Hospital for our annual holiday lunch!
From festive sweaters and friendly competition to a delicious meal, plenty of smiles, and time together, it was a wonderful reminder of the strong team behind the care we provide.

We’re thankful for our Weems family and honored to care for Franklin County today and always. 💙

Last Wednesday, we were pleased to welcome students from Franklin County School to Weems Memorial Hospital for a behind-the-scenes look at health care in action. 🏥✨

Students from Anatomy & Physiology, Health Science Foundations, and Allied Assisted Health 3 toured the hospital and heard directly from our clinical teams about what they do each day, career paths in health care, and the education and training required for different roles.

For many students, it was their first time seeing the full scope of services available at Weems, and learning just how much happens within our hospital walls.

A special thank you to Mrs. Huckeba, Health Science teacher and one of our PRN nurses, for coordinating the visit, and to all of our departments who took time to share their expertise and passion. Opportunities like this help inspire the next generation of health care professionals, right here in Franklin County.

Our primary care clinics will have brief appointment closures during the holidays while renovation work is underway.

Weems Medical Center West
• Dec 22–29
• Jan 1–2

Weems Medical Center East
• Dec 19–26
• Jan 1–2

During these dates:
• Staff will be available by phone for scheduling ☎️
• Please request prescription refills in advance 💊
• Needs for urgent care should go to the Weems Emergency Department 🚑
• Lab work is available at the Hospital Outpatient Department (check website for holiday hours) 🏥

Due to a connectivity issue and ongoing system upgrades, our clinics are temporarily unable to process credit or debit card payments.

💵 Please bring cash or check for any payments at this time.

🛠️ Our team is working to restore card processing as quickly as possible, and we expect it to be resolved within the next week.
