We are thrilled to welcome Lijing Liu to the Apex Retreat Seminars instructor team!

Lijing brings a powerful blend of Traditional Chinese Medicine wisdom and modern movement science to our community. With an undergraduate degree in TCM from Changchun University of Chinese Medicine, advanced graduate and doctoral training from the University of Tsukuba in Japan, and professional research experience at Waseda University, she offers a rare depth of knowledge.

After moving to the U.S., she continued expanding her skills by studying Western therapeutic massage at Wake Tech Community College—allowing her to bridge Eastern tradition with Western technique in a truly unique way.

✨ 𝗟𝗶𝗷𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗖𝗠-𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀, sharing her expertise with bodyworkers, massage therapists, and spa professionals who want to elevate their practice with authentic, holistic approaches.

Discover the art and intention behind Facial Gua Sha — a time-honored technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that promotes blood and Chi circulation, lymphatic flow, and natural rejuvenation of the skin. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to perform a complete facial Gua Sha sequence along with specialized protocols to address jaw tension, puffiness, and dull or devitalized skin.

This class begins with an introduction to the history and philosophy of Gua Sha in TCM, followed by an exploration of facial anatomy, acupressure points, and meridians that influence skin health and vitality. Students will also learn how to select and use botanical facial oils and floral waters that enhance the results of Gua Sha and facial massage—supporting balance, hydration, and radiance for all skin types.

Through guided practice, you’ll gain confidence in performing lymphatic drainage and facial sculpting techniques while developing sensitivity and flow in your touch.
