Doin' Things Better

Doin' Things Better Overwhelmed, depleted, and still “holding it down”? Same. I teach recovery-first wellness for high performers who are tired of starting over.

Don’t watch this if you’re not ready to do things differently. I did, and 90 days later, every symptom I’d been dealing with was gone.

I wasn’t crazy.
I wasn’t making it up.
My body was speaking the whole time.
It just took the right test for somebody to finally listen.

Tomorrow, I’ll tell you what I did with the diagnosis, and no, it’s not what you think.

I want to tell you what protecting your energy actually looks like.

Not in theory.
In real life.

It looks like waking up and not immediately bracing for the day.
It looks like your patience still being intact at 7pm.
It looks like making a decision without second-guessing it for an hour.
It looks like your brain actually quieting down at night.

It looks like feeling like yourself again.

Not a slower version of you.
Not a less ambitious version.

Just you — clear, grounded, and present.

That's not a fantasy.
That's what happens when you stop running on a foundation that was never built to hold this much.

If you've been thinking about joining my free workshop —
this is your sign.

We meet April 1 at 8PM ET.

The dangerous part?
I was still getting things done.

Still working.
Still showing up.
Still pushing through.

Meanwhile, I had daily headaches, hair loss, sciatica, restless legs, and numb swollen hands every morning.

And when you’re still functioning, it’s real easy to tell yourself it’s “not that bad.”

Until it is.

Come back tomorrow for the next part.

"I'm successful on paper but completely exhausted."

I hear this almost every week. If that's you — I built something for you.

A quote from Tricia Hersey has been sitting with me:

“The deprogramming from our brainwashing will take intention and time.”

I see this every week with high-achieving women.

They don’t need another plan. They need permission: and a process: to unlearn what they’ve been trained to believe:
That rest is laziness.
That pushing through is strength.
That burnout is the price of success.

But your body isn’t impressed by your work ethic. It responds to your patterns.

That’s why my approach is micro and realistic: small shifts that fit into your current life, repeated long enough for your system to trust them. That’s what “deprogramming” looks like in real life.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, it might not be a motivation issue.
It might be an unlearning season.

What are you deprogramming from right now?

Resting should not feel like a task you are failing at.

Look at this image. Laptop open, sitting in a massage chair. For the high-capacity woman, this feels like efficiency. In reality, it is the overdrive trap. Your body is trying to reset, but your nervous system is still stuck in a deadline loop.

I have been there. I used to think multitasking my recovery was the only way to stay ahead. But you cannot optimize your way out of exhaustion if you never actually leave the office mentally.

Real wellness is not about restriction or shrinking your life to manage your stress. It is about Integrative Energy and moving from that frantic overdrive into a steady, sustainable rhythm. I call this being EASED:

E - Exercise
A - Alignment (spiritual alignment)
S - Stress regulation
E - Emotional regulation
D - Diet

When these are in sync, you do not need to bring your laptop to your massage. You can actually be where your feet are.

I am hosting a workshop to help you find that rhythm: Reset Your Rhythm: From Overdrive to Eased. We will look at the signals your body is sending and find the truth beneath the surface of your exhaustion.

The thing about perfectionism is that it disguises itself as a strength.

And for a long time — it is.

It's what gets you the grade, the promotion, the reputation.
It's why people trust you with the hard things.
It's why you're the one who never drops the ball.

But at some point perfectionism stops being a tool and starts being a tax.

A tax on your energy.
Your sleep.
Your ability to be present.
Your willingness to rest without guilt.

Because you can't turn it off.
Even when there's nothing left to give, the standard doesn't lower.

So you keep performing.
At work. At home. Even in your wellness routine.

Here's what I know after working with women in this pattern:

More discipline won't fix it.
A better morning routine won't fix it.
Another productivity system won't fix it.

What fixes it is finding the ONE thing that's been leaking the most and building from there.

That's exactly what my free live workshop is designed to help you do.

Strength isn’t supposed to be a life sentence of exhaustion. Most of us learned how to keep going no matter what. It’s what our mothers did, and their mothers before them. But while they taught us how to be strong, they didn’t always teach us how to stop, breathe, and rebuild our energy. I’m building a new way of living for my daughters and for yours. It’s time we stop carrying what isn’t ours and start prioritizing a rhythm that lasts. If you’re ready to trade that “always on” feeling for something more steady, join me for my next workshop.
