Cognitive Clarity

We specialize in providing holisitic centered, genuine, and sacred space to empower our clients to achieve their goals. While on the outside, you seem to have it together, on the inside, you're dealing with chaos. You've tried to set goals, but your mind is too scattered to be consistent. This is how I see my role as your therapist. To see past your pain and help you uncover your true inner light. My practice is self-pay because I offer an entire mental wellness experience that goes beyond the medical model of boring checklists and slapping on labels. I use a holistic, integrated approach to wellness which may include inner child work, mindfulness and meditation, Ketamine assisted therapy, somatic release exercises, and/or movement-based therapy. I strive to cultivate a brave space by being transparent, compassionate, and affirming and I work best with clients who are committed to their own growth. It can be hard to know whether a feeling is intuition or anxiety. Both can feel strong and convincing in the moment. Anxiety usually comes from fear and the need to stay safe, while intuition arises from calm awareness and inner connection.

When you slow down and listen to your body, the difference becomes clearer. Anxiety often says “hurry,” “fix,” or “what if,” while intuition feels steady and curious, inviting you to pause and notice.

Learning to trust yourself again takes time. With guidance and support, you can understand your body’s signals, calm anxious patterns, and reconnect with the quiet confidence of your inner wisdom.

If this resonates with you, like this post and take a moment to notice what your body is telling you right now. 🧘‍♀️

Emotional safety at home begins with you.

Your calm, awareness, and willingness to repair after tough moments shape how your child learns to feel seen, supported, and safe.

Each time you pause before reacting, name your emotions, or listen without rushing to fix, you show your child that emotions are not something to fear but something to understand.
Parenting with emotional awareness takes courage, patience, and compassion. You are learning alongside your child, and that growth matters.

If you want to create more emotional safety for yourself and your family, therapy at Cognitive Clarity can help you build the tools and support to do just that.

Healing isn’t always soft or soothing. Sometimes it feels heavy, confusing, or even lonely as your mind and body process what they’ve carried for years.

These uncomfortable moments are signs of real integration. Your nervous system is learning safety, your emotions are finding balance, and your energy is shifting toward wholeness.

Give yourself time to rest and trust what’s unfolding. The peace you’re seeking often comes when you stop fighting what you feel.

Emotional suppression often begins as a form of self-protection. At some point, it may have felt safer to stay busy or care for others instead of feeling what was underneath. Over time, though, this distance from your emotions can create exhaustion, confusion, or a quiet sense of emptiness.

Reconnecting with your emotions doesn’t happen all at once. It starts with awareness, gentleness, and allowing yourself to feel safe in your own experience.

You don’t have to face it alone. Working with a therapist can help you understand what your emotions are trying to communicate and guide you back to a deeper sense of wholeness and presence.

Control often begins as a way to feel safe when life once felt unpredictable or overwhelming. Over time, though, it can start to limit your sense of freedom, ease, and connection.

Healing isn’t about forcing yourself to let go. It’s about creating enough inner safety to feel comfortable with uncertainty.

Each time you pause, breathe, and listen to what your need for control is trying to protect, you strengthen trust within yourself.

If this speaks to you, remember that you’re not alone in learning how to feel safe without over-controlling. Healing takes time, compassion, and support.

Burnout doesn’t only happen when you take on too much. It also happens when you ignore your own limits for too long. Over time, it can create disconnection from your emotions, intuition, and sense of confidence.

Rebuilding self-trust after burnout begins with small steps: resting without guilt, listening to what your body needs, and choosing gentleness over pressure.
You don’t need to rush recovery. Healing is gradual, and clarity returns as your nervous system feels safe again.

If you’re in a season of burnout, remember that you’re not broken, you’re tired. With time, awareness, and the right support, trust in yourself will return.

❓What’s one small way you can honor your limits and rest today?

It is easy to get used to moving through the day without noticing how our body feels. Yet your body often knows what your mind has not caught up to. The tiredness, tension, or restlessness are gentle cues calling you back to awareness.

When you pause and notice, you create space for care and clarity. You begin to rebuild a sense of trust with your body, which in turn helps you feel more grounded and emotionally attuned.
Try setting aside one minute today to check in with your body.
Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and listen to what it is telling you.

Depression is one of the most misunderstood mental health challenges, and the myths surrounding it can make people feel even more alone. It is not simply sadness, laziness, or something you can “snap out of.” Depression affects how you think, feel, and function day to day, and living with it can take immense courage.

October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, a time to shine a light on what depression really is and why it deserves compassion and care. This month reminds us that tending to emotional health is just as important as caring for our physical health, and that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Breaking down these myths helps reduce stigma and opens the door for people to ask for the help they deserve. If you are struggling, know this: you are not broken, and you are not alone. Healing is possible, and your story still holds hope, meaning, and purpose.

High-achievers often feel guilt when accepting help, believing they should handle everything on their own. But learning to receive support is a key part of growth, resilience, and authentic connection.

Each time you allow yourself to accept assistance, you strengthen relationships and give yourself permission to focus on what truly matters. Start small, notice the benefits, and practice gratitude. Receiving support is a strength, not a flaw.

Reflection: What’s one small way you can allow yourself to be supported this week?

Depression often speaks in whispers that feel like truths.

These quiet, persistent thoughts can shape how you see yourself, your worth, and your future. What makes it even harder is that this inner dialogue is rarely shared out loud, which can leave you feeling isolated or misunderstood.

October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, a reminder that these thought patterns are not a personal failing but signals that support may be needed. Recognizing these voices for what they are, symptoms and not facts, can be the first step toward healing.

If you recognize yourself in any of these thoughts, you are not alone! Reaching out to a therapist or support network can help you challenge these patterns and reconnect with hope.
