There have been numerous studies conducted on Reiki and its physical and psychological benefits.

In 2019, there was a large-scale effectiveness trial of Reiki, where many treatments were performed. In this study, It was found that just one Reiki treatment positively influenced multiple variables that related to physical and psychological health including lowering symptoms of depression, relieving pain, and improving overall well-being.

Reiki is used in hospitals and hospices across the UK and is growing in scientific backing. It may not yet be completely understood but we at least know that something is happening on a physical and psychological level.
