He was born August 3rd, 1996 and left this world on March 18, 2023. He was a free spirit who loved Harley Motorcycles, Tattoos, Fishing and Family. He had an incredible laugh, a sharp sense of humor, the deepest brown eyes and a smile that could light up a room. Frankie was a sensitive soul who appreciated the little things in life. From the time he was a little boy he showed empathy for others but not for himself. My son suffered from Bipolar, and his addiction was the result of his mental health and the prescriptions he was given by doctors. He tried for many years to get his Bipolar under control, at times taking 10 different medicines just to exist. But the racing thoughts never stopped. Drugs allowed him to quiet his mind, but they also took his life. Frankie’s greatest loves of his life were his brother Joe, his son Nicolas and me, his Momma. His brother said it best when he said ‘Frankie was so good about finding the value in others; he just couldn’t see it in himself.’
He did for others what he couldn’t do for himself. He had a way of always including everyone, showing them they matter, that they are important. He would speak at recovery meetings and then call me up and say ‘Ma I really can’t believe how much help I give others when I talk to them’. That didn’t surprise me, because I always knew his heart was big. But to hear other people share how Frankie touched their lives, is what truly makes my heart melt. I was blessed for 26 years to be the mother of this amazing young man. I knew his heart; I knew his deepest fears, I knew his love for God, I knew his soul. If you didn’t know him you missed out on an incredible human being, I thank God I never missed a moment with him. My son always carried a feather in his wallet that represented Angels watching over him. It also represents the way he lived his life - looking out for others through simple acts of kindness. Because his life mattered and because he was loved so deeply, this page has been set up to keep Frankie’s memory alive and his spirit moving forward.
