People think being a janitor is just pushing a mop around.

Meanwhile I’m:

1) Solving mysteries (“Who microwaved fish in the break room?”)

2) Performing science experiments with mystery stains

3) Playing real-life Tetris in the supply closet

4) Breaking up fights between the vacuum cord and every chair leg in the building

5) Finding things that have been “missing” for 6 months in under 30 seconds

Honestly, we don’t clean buildings. We maintain civilization. 🤭

Today we pause to remember the profound meaning behind the Memorial of Jesus’ death.

It is a time to reflect on the depth of love, sacrifice, and hope shown through his life and his willingness to give it for others. His example reminds us of humility, compassion, forgiveness, and unwavering faith.

As we observe this occasion, may we not only remember what was done for us, but also strive to live in a way that reflects those same qualities—showing love to others, extending kindness, and holding onto hope even in difficult times. 💯

“Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” — Luke 22:19

Not every job comes with applause, recognition, or a title people admire—but that doesn’t make it any less meaningful. Honest work is something to be proud of. It takes discipline, resilience, and responsibility to show up every day and do what needs to be done.

Whether your hands are calloused, your clothes get dirty, or your work goes unseen—remember this: you are providing, you are building, you are surviving, and that is powerful.

There is no shame in working hard. The only shame is in giving up on yourself.

Respect the grind. Respect your journey. And never let anyone make you feel small for doing what you must to take care of your life.

Small business owner life (cleaning edition) 😂

Client: “The bathroom just needs a quick wipe down”

Me opening the door: 😳💀

Me 10 seconds later:
why is the floor sticky…

Me 20 minutes later:
fighting for my life with a scrub brush

Client after: “Wow that wasn’t too bad, right?”

Me:
Yeah… totally 🙂

Running a cleaning business really means
discovering things you wish you never saw 😂

In a world full of different backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives, it’s important to remember that we all see life through our own unique lens. We don’t have to agree on everything to treat each other with respect.

Everyone’s experiences have shaped who they are, just like yours have shaped you.

Respect isn’t about changing your views—it’s about recognizing the humanity in others, even when you disagree.

Let’s choose patience, empathy, and respect. It makes a difference.

Cleaning business reality check 😂

Client: “It’s not that dirty”
Me walking in: 😳

Client: “It should only take like an hour”
Me: mentally preparing for a 4-hour deep clean

Client: “Can you do it cheaper?”
Also client: hasn’t cleaned in 6 months

Client after we leave: “Wow it looks amazing!”
Me: fighting for my life the entire time

Being in the cleaning business is 50% cleaning
50% reacting to what you walk into 💀

If you know, you know.

Reminder to all cleaning professionals (and chaos goblins with a mop):

The toilet brush is NOT a microphone.

I repeat.
NOT. A. MICROPHONE. 🎤🚫

Yes, I know the acoustics in the bathroom are incredible.
Yes, I know you hit that high note like you’re headlining a world tour.
But unless your audience is the shower curtain and a very judgmental bottle of bleach… let’s stay focused.

We clean. We sanitize.
We do NOT perform bathroom concerts with questionable props.

Stay safe. Stay hygienic. And maybe… stick to air guitar instead. 🎸

New day means new opportunity to show up better than yesterday.

Started the morning with a smile — not because everything’s perfect, but because I’m grateful for another chance to keep building, keep growing, and keep pushing forward.

Small steps still move you ahead. Even on the days you don’t feel like it.Let’s make today and every day count! 💪

Change doesn’t always mean becoming something new. Sometimes, it’s simply becoming a different version of yourself—like the same tree, standing strong through every season.

In one moment, you’re in full bloom—alive, vibrant, everything feels possible. Then comes the shedding—letting go of what once felt permanent. It can feel empty, even cold. But just because the leaves fall doesn’t mean the roots are gone.

Growth isn’t always loud or visible. Sometimes it’s happening quietly beneath the surface, in the stillness, in the waiting. And when the season shifts again, you realize you were never starting over—you were transforming.

Same tree. Different season. Still standing. 🌿

Letting go isn’t about giving up—it’s about making space.

Space for peace instead of overthinking.
Space for growth instead of staying stuck.
Space for the version of you that’s been waiting on the other side of “what if.”

Not everything is meant to be carried forever. Some things were lessons, not lifetimes. Some people were chapters, not the whole story. And some versions of you were stepping stones, not destinations.

It’s okay to release what no longer feels right, even if it once meant everything.

Letting go doesn’t mean it didn’t matter.
It means you’re choosing yourself now.

And that’s not loss—that’s power.
