Help us, help you! We are asking for a last minute push to restore chiropractic benefits for many of our patients! In June 2025, our state representatives at the capitol voted in favor of the Governor’s 2026 budget that removed chiropractic coverage benefits for adults on Minnesota Care and Medical Assistance. Since January we have had to have many difficult conversations with patients that had no idea they had lost this coverage until they called our office to make an appointment. Minnesota also has a special tax levied on healthcare providers to fund these programs. As chiropractors, we are still subject to this tax despite now being excluded from Minnesota’s MA program. Please consider calling your state representative to speak up in support of chiropractic, and especially for those Minnesotan’s who have lost out on this benefit.
Chiropractic care is not a luxury. It’s a proven, cost effective treatment for chronic back pain, joint problems, and injury recovery. For many patients, it provides an alternative to pain meds, opioids and more expensive interventions. Removing this benefit has affected the health and quality of life of many and likely also increases long-term healthcare costs by shifting care to more invasive or emergency services.
