CBG is our absolute favorite cannabinoid—and here’s why.
CBG (cannabigerol) is known as the mother cannabinoid for a reason. In the early stages of the cannabis plant, CBG-A is the precursor that eventually becomes CBD, THC, CBC, and more. Without CBG, the rest simply wouldn’t exist.
But here’s the part most people don’t know 👇
CBG doesn’t just turn into other cannabinoids—it works powerfully on its own.
Unlike CBD, which primarily supports balance indirectly, CBG interacts more directly with both CB1 and CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system. That means it communicates with systems involved in mood, focus, gut function, inflammation response, and overall homeostasis at a deeper, more foundational level.
CBG is also unique because it:
• Acts on adrenergic receptors (linked to alertness and mental clarity)
• Influences serotonin receptors (hello, mood support)
• Supports the body without sedation or intoxication
In short?
CBD is incredible—but CBG works upstream.
It supports the systems before things fall out of balance.
That’s why we call CBG the unsung hero of the cannabis plant. It’s rare, it’s potent, and it’s doing the heavy lifting quietly in the background.
At Happy Trails Medicinals, we don’t chase trends—we follow the plant.
And the plant keeps pointing us back to CBG 🌱
