"I recently returned to work following time at home with my three children. It was wonderfully challenging yet rewarding and I wouldn’t trade that time for anything! I knew in my heart that I would return to working outside my home at some point and it felt like a constant count down; similar to how many mothers feel with a maternity leave of any length. Oh, so many feelings and thoughts!"

Fascia, the nervous system, and whole-body healing—because it’s all connected.

That knot in your neck and shoulders…"Oh, that's where I carry my stress. It's always there. I have had that for years!"

We all know that stress can show up in our bodies as muscular tension. Fascia (a fibrous web of connective tissue that extends into every cell, structure & system of your body) is an important part of that tension and it is the Vagus Nerve that is partially responsible for communicating these fascial changes to/from your nervous system & brain. Both fascia and The Vagus Nerve are vital parts of the mind-body-mind connection and impact on how we physically experience stress and heal from stressful events.
