We had the sweetest visit from the 1st and 2nd graders at St. Paul Lutheran School! The kids came by to read to our residents, and it was such a joy watching them practice their reading skills and share their favorite stories.
Our residents absolutely loved spending time with these bright young readers — there were lots of laughs and smiles by all!

’Twas the night before Halloween, and all through our home,
Not a creature was stirring—except a few gnomes!
Our residents gathered, their spirits so bright,
Making headbands of pumpkins and bats for the night! 🎩✨
Laughter rang out down each cheerful hall,
As pumpkins went rolling—strike!—what a ball! 🎳🎃
Then came the warm scent, a fall-time delight,
Pumpkin spice happy hour—such joy tonight! ☕🍂
But as the moon rises and shadows now play,
Something spooktacular awaits us come day…

🎃Spreading Fall Cheer—One Treat at a Time!
Our residents rolled up their sleeves this week to make homemade pumpkin dog treats for our furry friends at the Fox Valley Humane Society! 🦴💛
It was a day full of warm fall scents and lots of love as everyone shaped and baked treats to help local shelter pets enjoy a tasty autumn surprise. 🍂🐶
We’re so proud of our residents’ generosity and their commitment to giving back to the community—two- and four-legged alike! 🧡

🍁 Fall Fun is in Full Swing! 🍎🎃

Our first week of October has been filled with autumn cheer! Residents kicked things off with a festive Oktoberfest celebration, complete with Apfel Bowle punch and warm soft pretzels. 🍺🥨 We got creative crafting pumpkin trivets to decorate for the season, then headed out to a local apple orchard for some fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a delicious apple tasting! 🍏🍂

There’s no better way to welcome fall than with good friends, great treats, and a little adventure! ❤️

🌍🦒🐘 Safari Adventure Week at Appleton! 🐘🦒🌍

Our residents set out on a wild safari right here at Appleton Retirement Community! 🐾 From making their very own stuffed animals, to going on a safari animal hunt, to playing Ring the Elephant Trunk and stacking the longest giraffe neck—every day was filled with fun and adventure.

The highlight? A special visit from the Hatch'em Acre mobile petting zoo 🐐🐇🐥—bringing lots of smiles, snuggles, and safari spirit to wrap up the week.

🚢⚓ Cruise Adventure Week Recap! ⚓🚢
Our residents “set sail” on an unforgettable journey right here at Appleton Retirement Community! 🎉 Each door was decorated with its very own cruise ship porthole 🪟, setting the scene for a week full of fun and adventure.
From pulling the lever on our Human Slot Machine 🎰, enjoying the classic cruise film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes 🍿, showing off skills in Shuffleboard 🏓, and learning the art of Towel Folding 🧺, to our big Shore Excursion Picnic 🧺🌳—every day brought something new. We even welcomed a travel agent guest speaker who shared tips, stories, and insights all about cruising the high seas! 🌍🛳️
The laughter, smiles, and travel-inspired fun truly made us feel like we were on a cruise vacation—no passport required! 🌊✨

🌲🏕 Wrapping up Outdoor Adventure Week at ARC! 🏕🌲

Even though Mother Nature didn’t cooperate for our picnic, we brought the camp spirit indoors and had an unforgettable time. Residents made colorful sand art bracelets just like summer camp days, enjoyed gooey s’mores and classic “bug juice” drinks, and ended the week by singing along to favorite campfire songs. 🎶🔥✨

Smiles, laughter, and a few sticky marshmallow fingers made it a week to remember! 💚

Our residents enjoyed a sunny afternoon filled with good food, laughter, and great company at our Summer Cookout! From juicy burgers and brats to fresh sweet corn, watermelon and sweet treats, everyone savored the flavors of summer. There was plenty of laughter, lively conversation, and memories made under the warm sun. 🌞💛
