101 Reasons for Airway Dentistry

Reason #8: Mouth Breathing

Chronic mouth breathing can cause airway and facial development problems. The jaws and face develop downwards, airways narrow, and teeth are crooked. In addition, bacteria enters the mouth which causes bad breath and inflammation.

101 Reasons for Airway Dentistry
Reason #7: Flared ears

Ears can flare out if the temporal bone of the head is rotated inward. Correcting this rotation can help with the ears. Getting the cranium functioning properly can affect airway health. Everything is connected!

Tis the season for snowy days and warm blankets!

You might even be tempted to reach for your favorite winter scented candle to pair with a totally predictable Hallmark Christmas movie. (No judgement over here 😉).
But think twice this season about what you are actually inhaling aside from a festive scent.

Try this, instead of a toxin filled candle, opt for a simmer pot on the stove. Boil water and add some orange peels, cranberries, and a couple cinnamon sticks. This natural alternative will give off a pleasant scent and eliminate the risk of harming your body!

101 Reasons for Airway Dentistry:

Reason #6

Low cheek bones
Properly developed jaws create high cheek bones forming healthy nasal passages and plenty of room for the teeth. Low cheek bones are associated with narrow jaws, narrow noses and compromised airways.

101 Reasons for Airway Dentistry:

Reason #5

Crook in Nose
Did you ever notice how the evil character in movies have crooks in their noses? The tip of the nose is cartilage, not bone. When the mid face development is inadequate, faces grown downward, not the healthy forward. Hence, the foundation upon which the mid-face (think nose) sets does not support the soft cartilage on the tip of the nose.
