Like many other organizations, the Grounds Division of the City of Appleton has struggled to fill seasonal employee positions. Due to lack of staffing, you may discover areas within parks that have not received the same amount of attention and care that they have in the past. Grounds staff will be concentrating their efforts on high-use areas like pavilions, playgrounds, and sport fields. This means there may be less trimming, mowing, and litter collection in lower-traffic sections of the parks. Restrooms may also see fewer inspections and routine cleaning. Please help us keep Appleton parks safe and looking their best by putting garbage where it belongs. Holiest of molies, please just read this!! Just because you can't get a massage doesn't mean you have to suffer! Now, especially, is the right time to practice some self-care. For this, when working things out on my back, I put the tennis ball in a sock so I can position it AND not drop it or roll myself off of it! Trust me, a tennis ball will work wonders!
