I really had everyone thinking they were getting donuts this morning… just to open the boxes and find them EMPTY 😂

The looks I got were priceless!!

Don’t worry though—I’m not that mean 😇 everyone did end up getting a donut in the end!

Oh… and I also handed out an April Fool’s word search with NO answers 🤭

Safe to say we chose chaos today.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with our wonderful residents through crafts, delicious food, and the joy of passing out Valentine cards. Smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments filled the room, reminding us that love is truly in the little things. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special 💌

☕🍪 Our residents enjoyed a cozy Hot Cocoa Day today! Delicious hot cocoa paired with yummy cookies made for lots of smiles and happy hearts. They absolutely loved it!

Taste Your Way Around the World – Our Final Two Stops! 🌏🍽️

We wrapped up our world tour with visits to China and Germany!

🇨🇳 In China, we learned all about the Great Wall, Chinese Dragon and the incredible Terracotta Army. The residents loved exploring the history and culture—plus enjoying some delicious Chinese food!

🇩🇪 In Germany, we talked about the Berlin Wall and the stunning Cologne Cathedral. And of course, we had to finish the trip with tasty German brats and German chocolate cake !

Our residents had such a great time discovering new places, traditions, and flavors. ❤️🌍 🌟 It’s been such a joy watching everyone learn, taste, and travel the world right from here. Each stop brought new excitement and curiosity, a perfect ending.

🎄💚 Grinch Day Fun! 💚🎄

Today we had the best time getting into the Christmas spirit with a little help from The Grinch! We enjoyed delicious Grinch Punch and festive snacks while we gathered together to hear the story of How the Grinch Stoled Christmas.

We also played a fun round of Grinch-themed questions, and everyone had such a good laugh and shared great answers! It was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season with joy, connection, and lots of green cheer. 💚✨

What a Spooktacular day at Heartwood Homes!🎃👻

Our annual Halloween party was full of laughter, creativity, and fun. Residents and their families showed off their decorating skills in our door decorating contest—congrats to Dave for taking 1st place! 🏆

A huge shoutout to Lois’s daughter Sarah, her husband Mark, and their daughter Aurora for bringing the “human slot machine” to life — it was a total hit and had everyone smiling! 🎰

Thank you to all the families and staff who came out to celebrate together — your presence made the day so special! 💕

🌎 Taste Your Way Around the World: Mexico Edition 🇲🇽

Our residents had a fiesta learning about Mexican culture, history, and cuisine during our “Taste Your Way Around the World” event! A heartfelt thank-you to caregivers Estela, Alejandra, and their mom Estela for sharing their talents in the kitchen and teaching us about mexican culture. The food, stories, and laughter made it a day to remember! ❤️🌮☀️
