The Community Blood Center Connecting lives and sharing life – that’s what The Community Blood Center (CBC) has been doing since 1955.

CBC provides blood, platelets and plasma to more than 40 hospitals throughout the Midwest. The Community Blood Center (CBC) uses social media as a way to engage with the community. We monitor Facebook and respond to questions in a timely manner during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Messages and comments received outside of regular business hours will be addressed on the next business day. For immediate needs and questions, please call us at (800) 280-4102. CBC encourages online engagement, conversation and education about blood donation and related topics. Comments, posts and other actions made by individuals do not reflect the views of CBC. Due to winter weather, The Community Blood Center's Appleton and Heart of the Valley Donor Centers and Merrill location will be closed March 16. The Wausau Donor Center opens at 10:30 a.m.

Currently, all other donor centers remain open. As conditions improve, please consider rebooking your appointment to help replenish the blood supply. Stay safe and thank you for your generosity.

After a tragic shooting in Texas, we quickly activated and shipped 𝟱𝟬 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 of whole blood plasma to Austin to support a blood center in the area. A single blood donation can help up to three patients when separated into red blood cells, platelets and plasma in CBC's lab. Our hearts are with the victims, their loved ones and the medical teams providing care.
