A great way to learn how to work with your loved ones when they are struggling.
NAMI Oshkosh will be hosting Youth Mental Health First Aid Training taught by Cindy Czarnik-Neimeyer and Jake Cznarik-Neimeyer on Tuesday, June 17 from 9am- 4pm at 525 N. Main St. in Oshkosh.
YMHFA is a free class designed for adults who regularly interact with young people. The class introduces mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches adults how to support an adolescent (age 12-18) experiencing a mental health or substance abuse challenge, or who may be in crisis.
The class will be taught by Cindy Czarnik-Neimeyer, M.S., CPS and Jake Czarnik- Neimeyer, M. Div. Cindy is a newly retired Therapist and Prevention Specialist at Catalpa Health. Jake is the interim pastor at a local Lutheran Church and has been a Camp Director at camps for high- need children across the Midwest.
