The YogaShop is proud to announce a month-long fundraising initiative for the Lakeland Pantry, offering donation-based yoga classes from December 1 through December 29. All donations from the classes will directly benefit the Lakeland Pantry in its effort to expand freezer storage and continue serving the growing needs of the local community.
Participants can choose from a variety of yoga styles, including Beginner, Sculpt, Yin, and Vinyasa Flow, ensuring there is something for every level and interest. These classes will be held on different days throughout the week and taught by nine dedicated instructors who are generously donating their time and expertise for this cause.
Interested individuals can sign up for these special classes via the MindBody app and by selecting “Donation-Based Classes,” or they may contact the YogaShop directly at 715-892-1734. Class sizes are limited to 20 participants per session, so early registration is encouraged.
While these classes are free, the YogaShop invites attendees to make a donation of any amount, with all funds going to the Lakeland Pantry. Donations can be made in cash or by check payable to the Lakeland Pantry. For added convenience, a donation jar will be available at the YogaShop’s front desk.
YogaShop owner Breia Tlusty shared the inspiration behind the fundraiser: “Every year I do a donation-based class or I match the profits and send it to a local non-profit organization. This year I decided to go with the Lakeland Pantry. I spoke with Debbie Holzkamp, a Lakeland Pantry representative, about doing a food drive, but she noted that the pantry had received many food donations recently and is running out of storage space. The pantry needs more freezer space and cash donations to help with the purchase of additional freezers are a great need.
What started as an idea for one class quickly grew into a collaborative effort with nine instructors volunteering their time to help our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the Lakeland Pantry.” Holzkamp added: “In recent months, the number of people that we serve through the Lakeland Pantry has grown. At the same time, the challenges of raising money and buying food have become even more difficult. As we get that word out, it’s people like Breia Tlusty at the YogaShop, through her grace, lead this donation and gift-giving opportunity to give to the people that need it most. You never know when you may need help, or you can give help. This is all about helping our community. It’s all about Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”
The YogaShop is located at 11102 Tuckaway Rd, Arbor Vitae, WI.
