We are seeking a Behavior Interventionist (BII) to join our team! You will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans for clients in an individual or group setting. A behavior interventionist typically works with specific individuals who have been identified as exhibiting problematic behaviors. Behavior interventionists develop targeted strategies to reduce problematic behaviors and encourage productive behavior through means such as positive reinforcement.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the individual and with other professionals, such as teachers, to assess the client’s behaviors and create a specially designed plan.
Implementing the plan
Providing ongoing assessments of progress
Creating general strategies for behavior assessment
Conflict resolution
Crisis intervention
Assisting other professionals who work with the client in their daily environment
Qualifications
Previous experience as a BII
Experience with student support
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary range - $15.75-19.00p/h
