Leslie Lakes Retirement Center offers the community an Alzheimer's Neighborhood called Wisteria Lane, which is located inside the retirement center. Residents can enjoy individually planned programs for residents living in the neighborhood. Residents living on Wisteria Lane enjoy strolls in the beautiful and serene courtyard. The staff at Leslie Lakes try to help relieve some of the stress a caregiver bares while trying to help their loved one through this difficult time. Our Alzheimer's Neighborhood was uniquely designed and decorated for individuals with dementia, especially Alzheimer's. We provide a safe and straightforward environment which a person who has Alzheimer's needs. Leslie Lakes is proud to have opened the specialized Bariatric Center inside Leslie Lakes Retirement Center. We began accepting bariatric residents in June 2009. Our facility provides the specialized equipment and living accommodations necessary to treat bariatric residents in a comfortable and safe environment. We understand that many facilities cannot provide the appropriate care that severely obese patients require. Now anyone needing bariatric care in our area will no longer have to travel to South Louisiana to obtain the care they need. We hope that Leslie Lakes can assist residents in their recovery by building self-esteem and confidence. We are here to help. A beautifully furnished Hospice suite served by trained Hospice staff offers the medical attention needed at this time and emotional and spiritual guidance to the families and their loved ones.
