In-home care that helps older adults stay
✅ Safe
✅ Comfortable
✅ Connected at home
That's what we do...everyday.
In a recent US News & World Report survey: Navigating the Complex Decisions of Senior Care, seniors were asked how they would assess their future care needs:
🔹 Only 25% said they’d rely on advice from a primary care physician or specialist
🔹 Only 16% said they's rely on advice from their family members
🔹 More than 50% said they would assess their own needs
Wondering which senior care options might be best for you? For your family?
Planning senior care can feel like a delicate walk on a tightrope...
Respecting what they want...
Being realistic with levels of care, family availability, not to mention financials...
Could part of the reason be that seniors & their family members may be motivated by different factors? This US News & World Report survey sheds some light...
Who's driving the care decisions in your family?

Founded by Friends with a shared core value...Family
Friends for over 20 years, 2nd Family Main Line founders, Sean Killeen & Emily Glowicki RN, BSN, recently discovered each of our grandmothers required in-home care. Sean’s grandmother, Eileen, lovingly known as “Minxie,” suffered from a stroke and needed 24-7 care for over 16 years. Emily’s grandmother, Mary, lovingly known as “Grams,” suffered from Alzheimer’s for over 6 years.
Our families worked tirelessly, for years, arranging family and caregivers schedules. We dealt with call-outs, complicated medical care, in-home care, and overall scheduling logistics that, ultimately, created round the clock work for many family members.
Together, we wanted to create a solution that offers families the highest quality care to relieve the burden for families going through similar experiences. Watching our families’ hard work and dedication to our grandmothers created the foundation for our 3-pronged approach to home-care:
1.) Highest quality, expertly trained caregivers who are reliable & compassionate
2.) RN Care Coordinators managing day-to-day care & client experience
3.) Family Portal - The latest mobile technology to keep families informed at all times
For Emily, 2nd Family’s Director of Nursing, becoming a nurse with a specific passion to care for the elderly was fueled by her grandmother’s struggle. 15 years of nursing experience both in the hospital and the out-patient setting gave her the skills to provide and recognize exceptional professional care. 2nd Family Main Line was born out of this knowledge and helped identify the keys to exemplary care, skilled communication, collaboration, and caregivers committed to life-long learning and compassion. Compelled to help others and to fill the void in quality home care, 2nd Family Main Line offers our client families the peace of mind and expert care that their loved ones deserve.
