Jen-U-ine Training

Jen-U-ine Training My name is Jennifer Ellison, and I specialize in the well being of your babies. Hi, my name is Jennifer Ellison. I really should teach him to give autographs.

My business name was birthed out of my genuine love for training. I’ve been training animals - dogs, cats, birds and horses - for 29 years. It’s truly a gift from God that He blessed me with. My love and passion for animals, along with kids, started at a very young age. (If you’re an animal lover like me, you know as well as I do that often our pets are our kids!) The dog praying in my hands was my first furry child, Titus, a Jack Russell Terrier. He knew over 200 hundred tricks - sneezing, riding a horse and skits at church to name just a few. I would also take him to nursing homes where residents loved him dearly. After all, he is famous - he’s been on tv! I specialize in, but am not limited to, therapy dog training, behavioral correction, obedience training, advance training, off-leash and agility training, trick training and I’ve even done rescue relief dog training. The list goes on, and yes, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, and I’ll prove it to you! I can come to your house to do the training, or we can meet at a park or places like Petco. I can also come and train on-site if there’s only one thing you need help with, like potty training, jumping up or running off. I offer dog walking, doggy day care, boarding/training, grooming, and trips to the vet if needed. I also do ground work and trick training with horses. You name let's get together and let me help with whatever you need. I even work with cats so bring your questions and I'll answer them to the best of my ability. My business thrives on the success of you and your pet. Your sweet babies respond to my techniques. and my so my training speaks for itself. It gives me so much joy to watch the success and benefits to my training program. Up to this point I have enjoyed my passion privately. I have now decided not to keep the success to myself and to go public with my ability and talent. I will be adding more pictures and videos, so make sure you check back frequently! I will have many class options and events to sign up for throughout the year. They will fill up fast, so be sure to message and claim your spot. Classes start at $60 per session and can be personalized to meet your specific needs. Text me at 580-451-0669 for more info. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged friends 😊

Our first ever graduates of ADVANCED CLASS!

We are so honored to have walked with this group of people for weeks. Their investment paid off! What started as imbalanced behavior and stubborn minds, ended in connections that will only grow stronger with time 💪🏼 This group is now equipped to enjoy their pups in greater capacity, while their pups get to enjoy greater freedom of being off leash! This is no small feat. Leashes were dropped but connection was never lost. To say we are proud is an extreme understatement. Stay tuned to see even more glimpses of what Advanced Class can do! The videos and pictures are endless😆

YOU can have this too! We can teach you how starting with our Basic 4-Week Course that begins October 15th at 6:00! Message, comment, or text (580) 210-8780 for more information!🐾🥳🎓

This is AJ, my own personal dog. She is my Jack Russell terrier. Many of you know her from all the ruckus she causes in class and stealing the spotlight. She has a way of bringing out behavior in dogs that helps me with their training. With that being said, AJ hasn’t had any training really at all because we’ve been helping everyone else. A lot of people have said to me, when I’ve done private lessons, that you can’t help a dog that’s too old; I guess people feel there’s a limit on age when it comes to training. I’ve worked with dogs 11 to 12 years of age at the shelter to help them get their forever home. I also get asked the question, when can you start training? You honestly can start very young. With service dogs, they’ll take the babies and get them used to being held on their back and just held a lot of different ways and introduce them to different smells and sounds. I’ve worked with all kinds of cute stuff with dogs as young as 4 weeks old, but we like for our clients' babies to be up to date with all of their shots, just to keep them safe. I said all of that to say AJ is over a year old, and I would like to take everyone on the journey with me of teaching AJ something every week. Now, dogs learn fast, it might be more than just one thing. Here’s a list of her offenses! 1. She holds a grudge with being short, also known as the short man syndrome. She gets this way from being stepped on so much by bigger dogs, so she shows her teeth and jumps in the air. 2. She sleeps on the job, doesn’t matter where, she’s out like a light. 3. She steals every toy she can find. 4. She’s WAY too cool for school. 5. She secretly tells all my client’s dogs, hey, run this way, far, far away, and they’re gone. 6. Her next crime is being way too cute. She’ll even use dogs to step on and use her cute eyes to get what she wants. She’ll even find random strangers and give them a hug. She’ll squish kitties and find high places in the car too to work her magic. 7. The grass is taller then her so she disappears and i cant find her. 8. Obsessed with balls, she loves them and will do anything to get them. 9. Loves critters, but at least at the very end of the video, she helps her mom out! 🤣 The list goes on and on; she doesn’t like collars or leashes, barks at fly swatters, and doesn’t listen when you ask her to come, so let the fun begin! 🐾

We said it was coming and now it’s here! Sign-ups for therapy training are now open. We want to thank Ardmore Animal Care (Animal Shelter) for allowing us to partner with them, utilizing their facilities and working to certify rescues as well! If you have adopted through the local shelter, please message us if you are interested in getting therapy dog certifications! We have a special arrangement just for you 🐾 Just like all of our courses, there is a limit of 10 spots. Throughout this course, we will walk with you side by side throughout the process of training and certification. These classes will be held on Monday evenings and will last 1-2 hours. Dogs must be at least 1 to qualify for certification. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required for each dog. This cost will save you spot and cover the first session which will consist of evaluations of each dog and the introduction to therapy dog training. All rules and regulations will be communicated in great detail then. This deposit does not guarantee your dog is a perfect candidate for therapy certification; however, it is the first necessary step in the process! We will even cover some basic training technique that will help you in your journey of being a dog owner. We are excited to begin offering this sought-after training and experience to our area and even work closely with the sheter in certifying therapy candidates that will be available for adoption to the community! If you are ready to start the process of certifying your pup in all things therapy, please message, comment below, or text (580) 210-8780. We can’t wait!🥳
