WE ARE A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS DEDICATED TO OFFERING A FULL ARRAY OF SERVICES FOR

Nurturing Mamas Network has been established to provide nurturing care, treatment, support, and opportunities for connections for Women, Mamas, and young children through counseling for women, mamas, and play therapy for young children, birth doula support. The ability to be connected and supported in your journey as a mother or caregiver to an infant or young child is so important. The emotional, physical and behavioral health of Mamas is one that is frequently not given the beautiful attention it deserves and can leave Mamas feeling overwhelmed, isolated and alone. Nurturing Mamas Network was founded to ensure that Mamas and their littles have a place to be seen, heard, and felt on their journey towards becoming Nurtured Mamas with connected and securely attached littles. Nurturing Mamas Network is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals dedicated to offering a full array of services for women, mothers and their young children such as evidenced-supported therapy for post-partum mood disorders, infertility, birth trauma, pregnancy or infant loss, support for challenges with bonding and attachment, healing from birth trauma, promoting ways to play, be with and nurture young children. It is our hope that you will feel Nurtured, Connected, well, and whole. Services such as massage therapy, doula support, medication management, and play therapy are also offered by Nurturing Mamas Network. We are solely dedicated to Women, Mamas, and Young Children because we believe you are special and warrant individualized care and attention!

Do you know someone who may be considering su***de?
Asking the question DOES NOT put them at more of a risk!
If there is a su***de risk, ask these questions:
Ideation: frequency, intensity, duration
Plan: timing, location, lethality, availability, preparatory acts
Behaviors: past attempts, aborted attempts, vs, non‐self‐injurious acts
Intent: extent to which the person expects to carry out the plan and believes the plan to be lethal
Explore ambivalence: reason to die vs. reasons to live. What keeps you from acting on these thoughts?
Gather a history of personal or family su***de. Acknowledge his/her wisdom in being honest.

🗣 Say What You Need — Clearly and Kindly 🗣

Your needs matter. But here’s the truth:
**People can’t meet your needs if they don’t know what they are.**

We often hope others will just “get it,” pick up on hints, or read our moods — but that leads to frustration, resentment, and disconnection.

✅️ If you need support, ask for it.
✅️ If you need space, say so.
✅️ If a boundary is being crossed, speak up.
✅️ If something isn’t working for you, name it.

**Assertive communication isn’t rude — it’s respectful.** It respects *you* enough to speak honestly, and it respects *others* enough to give them clarity.

You’re not “too much” for expressing your needs. You’re being real, and that’s how healthy relationships grow. 🌱

Say it with love. Say it with strength. But say it.

It can be really difficult to remember some of your favorite things when you are in the trenches of feeling overwhelmed, chaotic, stressed, anxious, or depressed
1. When you find you are in a good place, make a list of your favorite hobbies, books, songs, activities, people, places, things, dreams, goals, accomplishments, etc.
2. Pull this list out when you are struggling and commit to going through it for 10 minutes or longer.
3. You can practice these at any time, but it may be most effective to start focusing on your favorite things before you reach a high level of negativity, stress, or depression.

This Beginner-Intermediate Program into the limitations of the traditional 5 stages of grief model, particularly as it applies to working with bereaved parents, and helps one obtain clinical skills from contemporary grief models.

Nurturing Mamas Network has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7232. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Nurturing Mamas Network is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Nurturing Mamas Network, provider #2686, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Workers Board (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 11/14/2025- 11/14/2026.
