At about the same time Bonded Lightning Protection was founded in 1950, Bill Miller bought a three-wheel Cushman scooter with a $500 loan from his father and began selling eggs door to door.

Three years later, Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. The second restaurant opened in February 1965. Today, there are 76 Bill Miller Bar-B-Q restaurants.
