Push walkers vs. walkers

Which one is better? Let’s break it down

Walkers tend to be used prior to when baby is ready to apply pressure onto their feet. This can lead to the development of abnormal postural habits. We never want to put baby into a position before they are doing it by themselves

Push walkers are typically used when babies are already pulling to stand/standing with assistance. Because they are already applying pressure to their feet on their own this makes push walkers the better option!

Push walkers for the win!!!

Part 2: The ultimate postpartum wish list that is chiropractor and mom approved!
If a patient or friend was looking for the best items to help your body heal, recover, and adjust to your new rhythm of motherhood, this is what we would recommend!
Nursing pillow: Helps support baby during feeding and keeps your neck, shoulders, and low back in better alignment.
Support belt or wrap: Gentle abdominal support can help your core and low back feel more stable during early recovery.
Supportive sneakers: Whether it’s stroller walks or chasing toddlers, supportive shoes protect your joints and spine as your body readjusts.
And of course, postpartum chiropractic care: Adjustments help realign your pelvis and spine after delivery, reduce tension from nursing and holding baby, and support your body’s healing process.
💙 From your first days at home to those milestone months ahead, your body deserves care too.
Tag a new mom who needs this list or save it if you are preparing for your fourth trimester! And rememb it er, we don’t just help moms. Schedule your adjustments for you and baby together!

Hip pain is a common complaint of many pregnant mamas but it is not a normal part of pregnancy

With higher levels of the relaxin hormone your pelvis is shifting and opening up as baby grows and as your body gets ready for labor. This directly impacts the position of your hips which can lead to some pain and discomfort

Adjustments are important to ensure proper movement of the joints but we also have other techniques to ease hip pain

Pictured here is Dr. Nicole performing side lying release

Benefits:
⁃ Increases pelvic mobility
⁃ Releases muscle spasm
⁃ Reduces hip pain

If you are experiencing hip pain you don’t have to!
