🪘💓 Finding Joy Through Rhythm!
Our memory care residents had a wonderful time during a drum therapy session with Grounds in Music, Inc. - using rhythm instruments to connect, express, and have fun together.
Creative activities like this aren’t just entertaining - they’re deeply therapeutic. Music and rhythm help stimulate memory, encourage emotional expression, and promote connection, even when words become harder to find. 🎶
Every beat brings smiles, movement, and meaningful moments of joy. 💕

The residents have been busy making decorations for our Halloween Parties this week 🎃👻🙀
We are gearing up for our Trick or Treat Costume Parade THIS FRIDAY from 3-4:30pm.
This is a FREE event to any children (or anyone who is young at heart) to show off their costumes, play games along our Yellow Brick Road and receive candy from our residents 🍫🍬🍭

October showers bring…big flowers and bigger smiles!!

We are fortunate enough to hold flower arranging club every Friday afternoon where residents, families, staff, and volunteers can come to the table - no matter the abilities - and make a beautiful centerpiece for our dining room tables.

Individual initiation, following sequencing, decision making and motor skills are a few of the limiting hurdles for people with dementia and can make engagement difficult. Supportive hands that provide guidance, encouragement, and modeling what to do are just a few ways to help adapt for our residents’ abilities!

💜 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Results & Gratitude 💜

We’re proud to share that our team has raised over $5,300 (and counting!) for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! Your support means the world, and we’re continuing to fundraise through October 21st — every dollar brings us closer to a cure.

This cause is personal for so many people, and we walk for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia — past, present, and future.
