Two continents. One shared mission: clearer communication for kids with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) 🌎🗣️

In this collab, experts from the USA 🇺🇸 and Australia 🇦🇺 break down:
✨ What CAS actually is (and isn’t)
✨ How common it really is
✨ Evidence-based treatment approaches that make a difference
✨ How CAS differs from other speech sound disorders

Because accurate diagnosis + targeted therapy = real progress.

Whether you’re a parent, therapist, or educator—understanding CAS is the first step toward empowering these kids to find their voice 💙

Progress isn’t always a straight line. 💙

This coordination activity was designed to work on crossing midline and integrating retained ATNR reflexes—but halfway through, frustration showed up.

Instead of pushing through, we paused. She stepped away, utilized the swing to regulate, and was reassured that this activity was as difficult as she perceived it to be; she was reassured that perfection was not expected, but only her best effort.

Because the goal isn’t just the exercise. The goal is helping kids learn that hard things can feel manageable with support. It is our privilege at Strive to Thrive to be part of your child’s support system.

That moment of coming back after frustration? That’s progress too. ✨
