Haotong Li at the Masters this weekend was just like a lot of you struggling with back pain when you play.

Bad situation. No clear shot. Just trying to survive on vibes.

(To be fair, the vibes from Haotong are immaculate. Any other person out there and Scottie probably wouldn’t have been so forgiving.)

Get out of the woods and come see us at MyPhysio.

We’ll help you get a real plan and get you playing again.

Golfers dealing with back pain probably feel like they’re living the Jordan Spieth experience every day. You think everything is great again… then all of a sudden you find yourself beached.

Pain-free golf in less than 24 hours.

But let’s be clear: my job isn’t to fix your swing. That’s your coach’s domain.

Mine is to help fix the underlying issues that are causing you pain and give recommendations on what may be causing it within the confines of your swing.

(And to develop an understanding of what your coach is teaching you, so I know what they’re looking for and how they communicate it to you.)

In this case, we saw that his stiff shoulder that has some bicep tendon issues doesn’t love that cross body position, so we have some work to do to fix that.

But the swing fix was basically immediate and now he’s playing again pain-free, less than 24 hours later.

Kudos to for being so great to work with!

It’s what I do 🤷🏻‍♂️

Btw we’re looking for our next PT. Know anybody great?

(They don’t have to love golf - everybody’s got their people and we want to help find them!)

Not saying we caused this is but I’m also not saying we didn’t 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pain during exercise isn’t always a bad thing, but context matters.

In some cases (like tendon rehab), a small amount of pain can actually mean you’re loading the tissue enough to create change. But that doesn’t mean you should ignore pain or try to push through everything.

A general guideline we often use in rehab:
• Pain up to 4/10 may be acceptable
• Pain that continues to increase, lingers, or limits function usually isn’t

The key is knowing what’s going on with your body so you can train the right way instead of guessing.

If you’re dealing with pain while exercising and aren’t sure what’s normal, that’s exactly what we help people figure out every day.

📞 Reach out if you need help getting back to doing what you enjoy.

There’s a difference between hitting the range and hitting the course. ⛳️
And a lot of times your PT stops once you can hit balls again.
But you’re not done there!

You need to:
1️⃣ Harden your shoulder so it doesn’t limit your swing 💪
2️⃣ Build your volume 📈
3️⃣ Make sure the rest of your body is ready 🏌️‍♂️

If you need help getting back on the course, call us at MyPhysio!
