We’re proud to join Advance Arlington for this important community conversation!

Federal cuts to Medicaid and food-assistance programs are expected to deepen challenges for Arlington’s most vulnerable residents and the local systems that support them. Join us tomorrow Wednesday, November 12 at 7pm (in person at the Fairlington Community Center or virtually via Zoom) for a timely discussion on how these changes are impacting our neighbors.

AFC’s CEO Lesley Daigle will be part of the panel and sharing insights on how our community can work together to close the gaps.

Our AFC team had a great time at the Arlington Community Health Fair this past weekend! We loved connecting with the community, sharing women’s health resources, and talking about the importance of early HPV vaccination. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it was also a great opportunity to highlight the importance of regular screenings and preventive care.

Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Arlington and VHC Health for hosting such an impactful event and to staff members Jenny and Andrea for representing AFC!

A huge thank you to everyone who ran and supported AFC at the Westover 5k and 10k on Saturday! Nearly 150 runners took part, and the community spirit was incredible. A special shoutout to AFC’s own Aurora Bissiri, who won her age group in the 10k, and volunteer behavioral health provider Susan Branco, who took first in hers in the 5k! Thank you to all the organizers and participants for lacing up for community health. 👟
