Glaucoma can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging a nerve in the back of your eye called the optic nerve. 👁

It’s important to know that often the first symptom of is the loss of side (peripheral) vision. Side vision loss can result in mobility issues over time. This image depicts what someone with glaucoma might see.

You’re at a higher risk of glaucoma if you:
◾️ Are over age 60
◾️ Are African American or Hispanic/Latino and over age 40
◾️ Have a family history of glaucoma
