Thank you, Senator Friedman! We are deeply grateful for your advocacy on behalf of AYCC, and for your sustained commitment to making mental health services more accessible for everyone. ❤️

The Senate Ways and Means FY22 Budget was recently released!

I successfully advocated for $175,000 for the Arlington Youth Counseling Center, promoting and supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of all Arlington’s youth and families, regardless of ability to pay.

Programs like AYCC are needed now more than ever as Massachusetts faces a child ED boarding crisis.

Our Story

The Arlington Youth Counseling Center (AYCC) is a community-based and State-licensed mental health counseling center serving Arlington youth (ages 3-21) and their families. AYCC is the leading provider of outpatient and school-based child and adolescent mental health services in Arlington, and is one of the only providers in the area that accepts youth with public health insurance. It is AYCC’s mission to promote and support the social and emotional well-being of all Arlington's youth and families, regardless of their ability to pay. AYCC provides thousands of dollars of free and reduced-fee care to families who are uninsured, under-insured, or who otherwise cannot afford the cost of deductibles and copays. In addition to outpatient and school-based counseling services, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management, AYCC runs support groups for survivors of domestic violence, and offers assistance to Arlington residents in locating and accessing community resources and other social services to address critical life needs.
