Big news! 🎉 LBL Architects is moving to Downtown Arlington, right where it all began! Our very first office was located downtown, so it feels only right to return as we celebrate 60 years of LBL. We can’t wait to share more soon, but for now, enjoy a peek at the renovation progress in our new space!

Big updates are underway at Miller Elementary thanks to the Arlington ISD 2019 Bond! The old gym has been transformed into new pre-K classrooms, the campus has fresh upgrades throughout, and a brand-new 5,000 sq. ft. gym with a storm shelter is almost complete. This year marks more than one significant milestone for us. We are proud to say that our very own Trey Thrush, AIA has officially been with LBL for ten years!

In his time at LBL, Trey has designed some landmark projects such as The University of Texas at Arlington College & Career Center and the brand new addition to Arlington ISD Bailey Junior High. Trey started at LBL as a drafter with a degree in interior design then went back to school to earn his Master of Architecture before ultimately testing for and earning his Architecture license (first try btw) all while delivering excellent designs for our firm. Beyond design, Trey actively serves on the board of the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce Partners in Education and has mentored over a dozen future architects through our office’s partnership with the Arlington ISD Dan Dipert Career & Technical Center and Ag Center.

When he’s not busy with us, Trey also helps manage a mid-rise residential complex and serves on its board.

Trey’s leadership, excellence, and timeless commitment to design and community continues to inspire our office and beyond. We’re grateful to have him building with us today, tomorrow, and for many years to come! Here’s to many more! 🎉

May was a month full of connection, collaboration, and community! 🌟

We were proud to serve as the presenting sponsor for the State of Higher Education, an event focused on the future of higher education in Arlington, hosted by the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce. 🎓

Three of our team members, Jennifer Carling, Trey Thrush, AIA and, Micah Galey, MBA had the honor of attending The Griffin Institute at the National Medal of Honor Museum, gaining incredible leadership insight and skills. 🏅

And we wrapped up the month at the Small Business Expo, presented by Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce where LBL was excited to host a booth and engage with fellow businesses and community leaders. 💡

We’re grateful for these opportunities to grow, learn, and give back to the Arlington community!

🎉 Help us congratulate LBL’s very own Micah Galey for being an incredible team player whose impact extends far beyond our office walls and into the heart of the Arlington community!

Micah was recognized last fall as an Greater Arlington Chamber Young Professionals 40 Under 40 honoree, and this week, he and his class were celebrated for their accomplishments at a Texas Rangers game. It was a well-deserved recognition for a year of leadership, service, and excellence. 🏆
