“I had my left foot reconstructed 10 years ago… It was a long recovery which I had expected. There was a hospital stay and then a series of hard casts. Driving to Dallas was not fun either. So, when my right foot started to flatten out more & push my toes to the right causing several falls, I knew it needed to be reconstructed also. I knew my Dallas doctor was semi-retired and the Dallas traffic would only be worse, so I started looking closer to home for a foot surgeon.. I found Dr. Stewart… He was direct, answering all my questions & did not rush. There had been some advancements in this surgery over 10 yrs. There was no hospital stay, only 1 hard cast, and very little pain. It was a long recovery just like the last time. When an older person is in a chair or scooter for months the leg muscles get weaker. My surgery was at the end of Dec 2024. By July I went on a trip with my granddaughter! Since then I have spent a lot of time in the yard, trimming bushes, planting flowers, etc. Being able to wear sandals again is also a plus! I really appreciate the skill and patience of Dr. Stewart & all the staff at AOA (especially Pablo).” -V.J.

Jessika is passionate about helping patients move better and live fully. A Wichita State graduate and lifelong athlete, she believes in leading by example. There’s never an exercise she asks her patients to do that she wouldn’t do herself.

Her approach is simple but powerful: treat patients like family, listen carefully, explain the plan, and make rehab as positive and effective as possible. “Prior to going to Dr. Freese, I struggled a lot with pain and discomfort in my daily life due to my shoulder. When I had appointments with him, he was always extremely helpful, informative in an easy-to-understand way, and I feel he always had my best interest in mind to get me back to doing all the things I loved the most! All these qualities in a doctor were so comforting and what I, as a patient, wanted and appreciated. I loved flying airplanes, but the state of my shoulder bothered me in very simple tasks. Dr. Freese had me flying again and able to do my basic daily tasks within 3 months after surgery! Born in Odessa and raised in Arlington, Devon’s journey into physical therapy was shaped by resilience. After overcoming bone cancer and learning to walk again, he was inspired to help others reclaim strength, movement, and confidence.

Devon treats a wide range of conditions with special interests in spine, knee, ankle, ACL tears, amputees, Parkinson’s, and MS.
