This , we’re honored to uplift an important conversation about eating disorders in the Black community. 💛

Eating disorders impact people of all races and body sizes, yet Black individuals are too often overlooked, misunderstood, or face barriers to culturally responsive care. In this powerful blog, Rock Recovery’s Director of Community Partnerships, Kristyn Soto, shares why these conversations can feel so difficult, and what support can look like for those who are struggling.

Healing begins with visibility, compassion, and community. Everyone deserves a seat at the table. 💚

Sometimes our inner Moira Rose kicks in when a friend starts talking about "good" and "bad" foods... 💁‍♀️

Here's your Friday reminder that ALL foods are good foods, you don't have to "earn" treats, and you are free to treat yourself anytime you feel like it.

In honor of the late Catherine O'Hara, go grab yourself a treat this weekend! You deserve it. 💚

This , we honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black communities—while also recognizing the inequities that continue to impact mental health and eating disorder care. 💛

Eating disorders affect people of all races and body sizes, yet Black individuals are often underdiagnosed, misunderstood, and less likely to receive timely, culturally responsive treatment. Systemic barriers, stigma, and harmful stereotypes can make it harder to access support—even when the need is real.

Swipe through for important statistics and ways we can show up: by listening, challenging bias in healthcare, expanding access, and ensuring that every person feels seen, supported, and worthy of healing.

Everyone deserves a seat at the table. 💚

It's been rather snowy in the DMV this week! ❄️

Winter can feel heavy, especially when storms keep us primarily indoors and isolated. This , we wanted to offer 4 practical tips to support your mental health and recovery this winter, because, remember, caring for yourself is essential, not optional. 💚

"I vividly remember arguing with my college roommates over the restrictive eating tendencies that they were noticing in me and denying their invitations to go out to eat with friends because of fear of food. It was a miserable life."

Program graduate Callie bravely shared with us just how consuming her eating disorder became when she was in college. Thankfully, she found Rock Recovery, and in our Bridge to Life program, she also found freedom.

"In the summer of 2020, I joined Rock’s body image group with the help of the sliding scale, and I can honestly say that it was life-changing. The group therapist taught me new things that I hadn’t encountered in my eight years of receiving professional eating disorder help, and the community of women around me who experienced the same struggles and desired freedom was just what I needed"

We completely get it - college and young adulthood can be such a stressful time. If you find yourself struggling with body image issues and needing support, we invite you to join our brand new Young Adult Bridge to Life therapy group, launching February 11th! This group has been designed specifically for individuals aged 18-24, and will help guide you along your transition from youth into adulthood.
