We are so honored to share that Rock Recovery was selected as a recipient of a 2025 SAM Grant Award from Rock Spring Congregational United Church of Christ!

Community is everything in eating disorder recovery, and this funding will support Rock Recovery's group therapy programming so that individuals struggling have barrier-free access to a supportive recovery community of their own.

We want to congratulate our fellow recipients, and send our sincerest thanks to our friends at Rock Spring. Community partners like you are critical in our mission to make life-saving eating disorder treatment and support accessible to all!

This Veterans Day, we want to honor the journeys of those who have served. Mental health challenges do not discriminate, and military individuals and families are no exception.

Eating disorders often develop as a coping mechanism for those dealing with trauma and stress. We are here to let veterans and military families know that you are not alone, and you do not have to navigate your journey without community.

Rock Recovery therapy services are available to anyone in need of eating disorder support throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Please visit the link below to explore our in-person and virtual therapy options.

People who experience food insecurity are more likely to exhibit disordered eating behaviors, and we want to talk about it.

According to the Capital Area Food Bank, more than 1 million people in the DMV region are experiencing food insecurity - that includes 1 in 10 children.

If you or someone you know needs immediate food support, we invite you to check out some of the local resources we have compiled above.

If you or a loved one are struggling with disordered behaviors, you do not have to navigate the journey alone. Click the link in our bio to get connected to support at Rock Recovery today.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our clinical training and book signing event! It was a wonderful session filled with so much important information as to how clinicians can best support those with both an eating disorder and a chronic illness.

We want to give a huge shoutout to the star of the event, Tamie Gangloff, MA, MFT, for sharing your talent and passion with so many through the written word. Thank you for partnering with us on our mission to provide education surrounding eating disorders to our incredible community.

Tamie's book, "Chronic Illness and Eating Disorders: Assessment, Clinical Skills, and Lived Experiences" is available for purchase on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Grab your copy today!

The leaves are falling 🍂, the mornings are colder🌡, and, like with every season's greeting, change can feel intimidating.

But it doesn't have to be!

Rock Recovery's Teen Bridge to Life group therapy program is designed to help high school teens aged 14-18 navigate these seasons of change. Through processing topics like motivation, cultural messages, intuitive eating, shame, identity, and more, attendees will move toward living a more full, embodied life as the winter season quickly approaches.
