We want to take a moment to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wendy Oliver-Pyatt and Erica Loewe for helping make this year's Breaking Bread Gala the huge success that it was.

Dr. Oliver-Pyatt delivered a powerful keynote, sharing words of wisdom, encouragement, and advocacy that created a space of connection, reflection, and hope for everyone in the room.

Erica served as our emcee, keeping guests entertained all night with light-hearted jokes and lively program updates, as well as powerful words of support of hope of her own.

Because of you both, the evening was not only a celebration, but a reminder of why this work matters and what is possible when we come together in support of recovery.

Thank you so much for sharing your voices, your expertise, and your hearts with our community. Breaking Bread 2026 could not have happened without you!đź’š

Honoring tradition while honoring recovery. đź’›

We’re proud to share a new two-part blog series on exploring how to navigate Passover and eating disorder recovery with compassion, boundaries, and support at the center.

These pieces offer thoughtful guidance on how to stay grounded in your recovery while engaging in meaningful traditions, reminding us that it’s possible to hold both at once.

A special thank you to the Allison Gasca-Backman and Jenna Albert who brought this series to life and shared their insight, care, and lived experience to support our community.

If you or someone you love is navigating recovery this Passover season, we invite you to read, reflect, and share. đź’š

Rock Recovery's Breaking Bread Gala wasn't the only exciting thing that happened last Saturday! đź’š

Members of our community came together at Barre3 Old Town for a special fundraiser organized by Board Member Molly Bremer. Thanks to this incredible group, over $500 was raised in support of Rock Recovery’s life-saving therapy programming!

We are so grateful to everyone who moved, connected, and gave back with us. Moments like these remind us that gatherings, both small and large, can create meaningful impact and help make recovery more accessible for all.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support! đź’š

When food access meets mental health, the conversation matters. đź’š

Join Rock Recovery and Northern Virginia Food Rescue for a powerful morning of learning, connection, and collaboration as we explore the intersection of food insecurity and eating disorders, and how barriers to food access can shape our relationship with food and impact mental health.

This panel will bring together clinicians, community leaders, and lived experience voices to deepen understanding and spark meaningful change. Together, we’ll explore how cross-sector partnerships can strengthen prevention, intervention, and recovery—and move us toward more equitable access to both food and care.

🗓 April 16 | 9–11 AM
📍 Northern Virginia Food Rescue (Manassas, VA)

Breakfast, connection, and a tour included! ✨ We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation.

Our hearts are beyond full! 💚 Thank you so much to everyone who joined us on Saturday for Rock Recovery’s Breaking Bread Gala. It was such a joy to gather with our community, celebrate the power of recovery, and witness the incredible generosity in the room.

Because of you, we raised more than $150,000 in support of Rock Recovery’s life-saving eating disorder therapy programming! Every dollar raised will go directly back into providing compassionate, accessible care for those who need it most.

Thank you for showing up, giving generously, and believing in a future where healing is possible for all. None of our work would be possible without our community, and we are so grateful to be in this work with you! đź’›

Seventeen years of healing, hope, and community. 💚✨

Today we celebrate 17 years of Rock Recovery—17 years of showing up for individuals and families navigating eating disorders, 17 years of breaking the isolation, and 17 years of building a community where everyone has a seat at the table.

What started as a small vision has grown into a movement of compassionate, accessible care, made possible by every client, donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter who has walked alongside us.

We are so grateful for this community and all that we’ve built together. And the best part? We are just getting started!

Here’s to the next year of expanding access, deepening impact, and continuing to make recovery possible. 💛
