Rock Recovery is so honored to have received a generous $15,000 gift from the this week. As a 2025 Turkey Trot beneficiary, funding was given to our organization in support of our life-saving eating disorder therapy services, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

To the Trot community - thank YOU for helping make this gift possible for us! And a huge thank you to the amazing people behind the Arlington Turkey Trot for standing with us and believing in our mission to make eating disorder treatment affordable and accessible to all. 💚

Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it was never meant to be. 💚

For neurodivergent individuals, eating disorder recovery can come with unique challenges. Those experiences deserve to be understood, not overlooked.

Healing doesn’t mean forcing yourself into someone else’s framework—it means finding what truly works for you. This carousel offers gentle, practical ways to support recovery that honor your brain, your needs, and your pace.

You deserve care that is compassionate, flexible, and affirming of who you are. Save this for when you need the reminder that your needs are valid and recovery is possible. 💛

April is Autism Acceptance Month—a time to honor, celebrate, and uplift the experiences of autistic individuals in all their diversity. 💛♾️

At Rock Recovery, we’re committed to deepening understanding around the intersection of mental health and eating disorders, and that includes recognizing the important (and often overlooked) overlap between autism and eating disorders. Research shows autistic individuals experience eating disorders at disproportionately higher rates, yet are often underdiagnosed or misunderstood in treatment settings.

We’re grateful to contributing therapist Jenna Stone, LCSW-C, Founder of Side Quest Psychotherapy, for sharing her expertise in our latest blog. Through a neurodiversity-affirming lens, Jenna highlights the importance of compassionate, individualized care that truly meets people where they are.

April is here, and so is a little more light, a little more warmth, and a lot of gentle reminders. 🌷☀️

Growth doesn’t always feel big or visible, but it’s happening every day. You are allowed to slow down, ask for help, and take in moments of joy as they come.

Let this month be a reminder that you are enough, you deserve happiness, and you are not alone in your healing. 💚

We want to take a moment to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wendy Oliver-Pyatt and Erica Loewe for helping make this year's Breaking Bread Gala the huge success that it was.

Dr. Oliver-Pyatt delivered a powerful keynote, sharing words of wisdom, encouragement, and advocacy that created a space of connection, reflection, and hope for everyone in the room.

Erica served as our emcee, keeping guests entertained all night with light-hearted jokes and lively program updates, as well as powerful words of support of hope of her own.

Because of you both, the evening was not only a celebration, but a reminder of why this work matters and what is possible when we come together in support of recovery.

Thank you so much for sharing your voices, your expertise, and your hearts with our community. Breaking Bread 2026 could not have happened without you!💚

Honoring tradition while honoring recovery. 💛

We’re proud to share a new two-part blog series on exploring how to navigate Passover and eating disorder recovery with compassion, boundaries, and support at the center.

These pieces offer thoughtful guidance on how to stay grounded in your recovery while engaging in meaningful traditions, reminding us that it’s possible to hold both at once.

A special thank you to the Allison Gasca-Backman and Jenna Albert who brought this series to life and shared their insight, care, and lived experience to support our community.

If you or someone you love is navigating recovery this Passover season, we invite you to read, reflect, and share. 💚

Rock Recovery's Breaking Bread Gala wasn't the only exciting thing that happened last Saturday! 💚

Members of our community came together at Barre3 Old Town for a special fundraiser organized by Board Member Molly Bremer. Thanks to this incredible group, over $500 was raised in support of Rock Recovery’s life-saving therapy programming!

We are so grateful to everyone who moved, connected, and gave back with us. Moments like these remind us that gatherings, both small and large, can create meaningful impact and help make recovery more accessible for all.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support! 💚
