A big thank you to the Ashton Heights Civic Association (AHCA) for their Tree Canopy Campaign! In December, volunteers planted three trees at Columbia Gardens, part of 92 young canopy trees that were installed throughout the neighborhood. Trees come with a post and sign identifying their species. They are 2-5 feet tall and will start growing right away. AHCA received a state grant to fund a total of 120 trees and will be planting 38 more trees in March. Would you like a young tree in your yard? Contact brooke.alexander52@gmail.com for a consultation.
Pictured at Columbia Gardens are (L-R): Ron Rosenberg, AHCA representative; Daun Frankland, cemetery owner; Brooke Alexander, Co-Chair, Tree Canopy Campaign: and volunteer installers Nancy Hopper and Mike Brown.

Columbia Gardens Cemetery has been family owned for four generations, continuously since our founding in 1917. It has been described as Arlington Countyās community cemetery. We invite our neighbors and area residents to walk our winding paths and enjoy the towering trees and beautiful gardens on our grounds.
Columbia Gardens Cemetery is multicultural and non-denominational.

Columbia Gardens is one of the few cemeteries in the Northern Virginia area that offers a wide range of options for memorials, including upright monuments and memorials, flat markers and private mausoleums.
Burial and Interment Options
In an era where cemeteries are often owned by corporations, our family has watched over Columbia Gardens for over 400 seasons ā over 100 years. We have served as trusted stewards of the memories of families and friends. You are welcome to visit our grounds to be comforted, or to find a peaceful place for reflection, whatever the season.
