Hi Yall! I know things went kind of silent for a minute, but I thought this was worth a shot. If you’ve ever attended one of our events, you know that supporting local food banks is something that’s important to us. Things are particular difficult right now for some families, so this is us, trying to do our part.

I have a small make myself feel better about the fact that the world is complete s**t right now project, and was curious if yall would be interested in helping either monetarily or by helping me shop/package.

Our local library has a shelf for free meal kits for families that are struggling with food needs right now, and I found Dollar Tree Dinners who does dollar tree meals. She makes these shelf stable meals in a bag, and then donates them somewhere local. Each meal kits costs between $6-$10 each to put together.

It’s my way of doing something tangible in a world where we sometimes feel helpless.

No pressure because I know times are hard for everyone, but if you’re able, any help is most appreciated. I can do zelle/paypal/venmo/etc.

Question of the day: I'm listening to the sorcerers stone audio book, and it's talking about how the muggles had noticed all the owls flying around in the day Voldemort tried to kill Harry. It was off because owls are nocturnal, and were seen during the day.

So are post owls different than other owls? Because at Hogwarts, post is always delivered during the day? Is it just because they're magic owls?

At dinner with the hubby and the kids, and the couple behind me was discussing Kate Spade and calling her selfish among other things. As we were close to the end of the meal, I sat and listened for a few minutes until we were ready to go. It also gave me a few minutes to collect my thoughts, because my initial reaction was to call them both blithering twatwaffles.

As I gathered up the kids, I leaned over and politely interrupted them. I mentioned that I had overheard their conversation, and I was appalled at them calling her selfish. Su***de is a lot of things, and selfish is the least of them. I asked that they next time they have that conversation, they might educate themselves before casting judgement and instead try for some compassion, my voice shaking in anger and emotion. The dude wouldn't make eye contact with me, but the wife did and at least nodded as I finished.

You never know someone's struggle and a little compassion goes a long way. You never know who's listening.

I'm sorry to disappoint y'all, but I just did not have the resources to put together a Fifty Shades Freed event. Sometimes life just does not cooperate.
