Texas Health Resources announced Monday that Barclay Berdan, FACHE, chief executive officer, will retire later this year following a distinguished career with the organization.
Under his leadership, Texas Health built a nationally recognized, award-winning culture grounded in purpose, service, and care for its people, while maintaining the financial strength and stability necessary to invest in innovation, expand access, and support the communities Texas Health is privileged to serve. Barclay leaves a lasting legacy, and we are grateful for his exemplary service to both the organization and North Texas.
Winjie Miao, Texas Health’s current senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to president, a role created by the Board of Trustees to identify the leader who will assume the chief executive officer role at a future date.
Laura Irvine has been named senior executive vice president and chief operating and growth officer. In this expanded role, Laura will focus on enterprise operations with an emphasis on patient and care team experience, while supporting continued growth of the organization.
This transition reflects thoughtful planning and positions Texas Health for continued stability and success into the future.
Please join us in thanking Barclay for his extraordinary leadership and dedication to Texas Health and congratulating Winjie on her appointment as our next chief executive officer and Laura on her newly expanded leadership role. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4cdAouS
