About The Center

Our Psychology practice was founded in 2011 by Drs. Kimberly Booker and Angela Mitchell. After 8 previous years of practicing separately, Dr. Booker and Dr. Mitchell merged their two practices, Assessment and Intervention Services of Texas and Renaissance Behavior Health Services, respectively. They realized by leveraging the strength of both practices and combining their resources, they would have the opportunity to serve a larger base and provide better services for their clients. Their common practice became known as The Center for Psychological Services (CFPS).

Our practices serve the DFW area and the surrounding communities. We have two locations serving the Arlington and Plano, Texas areas. The Center for Psychological services also provides onsite and in-home service options. Drs. Booker and Mitchell are credentialed as Licensed Psychologists (Health Service Providers) and Licensed Specialists in School Psychology and have made significant contributions to North Texas in their own right. Each has served as a school psychologist in a public school district and as a university professor, where each authored numerous articles and chapters, and provided training to students and local districts.

Drs. Booker and Mitchell decided to combine their separate areas of expertise, experience, and resources to form CFPS, and to provide more comprehensive psychological services to North Texas communities. CFPS currently employs and subcontracts psychologists, licensed psychological associates, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed counselors. Services are provided in one of two offices: Arlington – Arlington is our headquarters and is located strategically off of highway 20 between Fort Worth and South Dallas. Plano – Our Plano office is located within easy assess to the George Bush Turnpike, 75, and the Dallas North Tollway. We provide select services in the home, at agencies, and in psychiatric hospitals. In addition to partnering with local medical professionals and insurance panels, CFPS contracts with the Department of Family and Protective Services (Child and Adult Protective Services), Department of Rehabilitative Services, Tarrant County Juvenile Justice, and local school districts. We particularly specialize in providing quick appointments for psychological testing services, followed by quality final reports with a relatively quick turnaround time for our time-sensitive clients.
