Costume or colored contact lenses might seem like a fun finishing touch, but wearing non-prescription costume lenses can put your vision at risk. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), these lenses can scratch your cornea, cause serious infections, or even lead to permanent vision loss.

We are pleased to share that Dr. Michelle Nguyen, MD is now seeing surgical patients at The Harman Eye Clinic! Dr. Nguyen is a comprehensive ophthalmologist. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health San Antonio, where she served as Chief Resident and earned the Leone Resident of the Year Award. Prior to that, she earned her medical degree with distinction from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies.

In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys cooking, traveling, and walking with her dachshund, Bailey. A devoted sports fan and plant enthusiast, she brings warmth, curiosity, and dedication to both her patients and her community.
