Fun Fact:
Your spine is made up of 33 vertebrae, and chiropractic care focuses on keeping them properly aligned. Why? Because even a tiny misalignment (called a subluxation) can interfere with the way your nervous system communicates with the rest of your body.
Chiropractors help by using gentle adjustments to restore alignment, which can improve not just back pain—but also things like headaches, sleep, and even digestion, thanks to the spine’s central role in nerve function! 🧠💥💆‍♂️

1. Prioritize Good Posture
Why it matters: Poor posture puts extra strain on your spine and surrounding muscles.

Tip: Keep your ears aligned with your shoulders and hips whether you're sitting or standing. Use ergonomic chairs and avoid slouching.

2. Move Regularly
Why it matters: Prolonged sitting can stiffen joints and weaken muscles supporting the spine.

Tip: Take breaks every 30–60 minutes to stand, stretch, or walk, especially if you have a desk job.

3. Lift Properly
Why it matters: Lifting incorrectly is a common cause of lower back injuries.

Tip: Bend at your knees, not your waist. Keep the object close to your body and lift using your legs, not your back. This goes for more than just lifting weights! Think children, objects around the home, and more!

4. Sleep Smart
Why it matters: Your sleeping position and mattress can affect spinal alignment.

Tip: Sleep on your back or side, not your stomach. Use a pillow that supports your neck and a mattress that keeps your spine aligned.

5. Stay Hydrated and Eat Well
Why it matters: Disc health and muscle function rely on proper hydration and nutrients.

Tip: Drink plenty of water, eat anti-inflammatory foods (like leafy greens, nuts, and fish), and limit processed foods.
