Nobody wants to talk about bedwetting after age 5, but so many families are dealing with it in secret.

You've tried everything. Limiting drinks after 6pm, waking them up twice a night, pull-ups they hate wearing, reward charts that make everyone feel bad when they don't work.

Your pediatrician says "they'll grow out of it" while you watch your child's self-esteem crumble with every wet sheet.

They're refusing sleepovers, camp, overnight trips. Carrying shame for something they literally cannot control.

Your child is not lazy and they're not doing this on purpose. Their nervous system physically cannot send the signal from their bladder to their brain during sleep.

Bladder control - especially nighttime - is controlled by nerves from the lower spine (L2-L4) and sacrum. These nerves tell your child's brain when their bladder is full during sleep so they can wake up.
When the lower spine or sacrum are out of balance (from birth trauma, learning to walk and falling hundreds of times, sports impacts, growth spurts), those nerve signals don't transmit properly. The bladder fills, but the brain doesn't get the message.

This is not a behavior problem. This is a sign of nervous system dysfunction.

Imagine your child waking up to dry sheets, consistently, saying yes to sleepovers without panic in their eyes. They are able to go to camp without you packing pull-ups. The relief on their face, confidence coming back, shame lifting.

We've had kids stop bedwetting within 2-3 weeks of starting care. Lower back and sacral adjustments restore nerve signals in which brain-bladder communication starts working. Bedwetting resolves naturally.

Your child deserves to sleep without shame. They deserve a nervous system that works the way it's supposed to.

If your child is still wetting the bed, take a breath — they're not doing it on purpose, and you're not doing anything wrong. 💛
Bedwetting is often a sign that the brain-bladder connection isn't fully online yet. And that connection? It runs through the nervous system.
When there's tension or interference along the spine — especially in the lower back or sacral area — those signals between the brain and bladder can get a little scrambled. Chiropractic care helps remove that interference so the nervous system can do what it's designed to do.
No shame. No pressure. Just support — for your child and for you.

You might be thinking that plantar fascitis is just a foot issue, but did you know that your plantar fasciitis didn't start in your foot? It started in your lower back.

You've tried orthotics, better shoes, stretching, foot massages, rest.
Nothing lasts.
Here's why: You're treating the symptom (foot), not the root cause (spinal compensation).

Your feet are at the END of the kinetic chain. Everything above - ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, spine - affects how they function.

The compensation cascade:
Lower back misalignment → Nerves from L4-S1 control your feet. When lumbar spine is misaligned, nerve signals are disrupted, muscle imbalances develop, arch collapses, plantar fascia compensates and inflames.

Pelvic tilt → One leg appears "shorter," you bear more weight on one foot, that foot develops pain. Orthotics can't fix the pelvic imbalance creating it.

Hip dysfunction → Gait compensates, feet work harder, abnormal forces break down tissue.

Knee issues → Altered walking mechanics, feet bear weight abnormally, chronic stress.

Your foot is just the last domino to fall.
Why treating just the foot doesn't work?
Orthotics support the arch but don't fix why it's collapsing (nerve interference).
Better shoes cushion but don't address compensation pattern.
Stretching provides temporary relief but spine keeps pulling it back.

How chiropractic addresses root cause:
✓ Lower back adjustments restore nerve flow to feet
✓ Sacral/pelvic alignment eliminates leg length discrepancy
✓ Hip adjustments restore proper gait
✓ Full kinetic chain assessment identifies where compensation started

When we fix the pattern UP THE CHAIN, foot pain resolves DOWN THE CHAIN.

Stop focusing on stretching and rolling out your foot. It's time to address the body as a whole.

Close your eyes for a second and notice your shoulders right now. Are they up by your ears? Is your upper back tight? Are you clenching without even realizing it?

"Carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders" - we say it casually. But your body doesn't know the difference between metaphor and reality.

When you're carrying emotional weight, your shoulders literally hold it.
When was the last time you felt truly relaxed? Shoulders-dropped-down, breathing-deeply, jaw-unclenched relaxed? If you can't remember, you're not alone.
It's because your nervous system has been in fight-or-flight for so long that muscle tension has become your baseline.
Life stresses you out, your nervous system perceives threat - not a bear, but your brain doesn't distinguish between "actual danger" and "overwhelming stress." So it activates fight-or-flight response. Your body braces. Upper traps pull shoulders up. Shoulder blades pull forward. Neck tightens. You're taking a protective posture, ready to fight or run, even though you're just sitting at your desk. This was designed to be temporary. But when "threat" is constant (chronic stress that never resolves), your shoulders never get the signal to release.
They stay tight day after day and month after month.
You get massages- feel amazing for two days, then tension screams back. This is because massage released the muscle, but your nervous system is still in fight-or-flight.

Imagine waking up one morning and your shoulders feel light. You can take a full, deep breath without restriction.
You're not bracing for impact anymore.
That's what we're after. Upper neck adjustments support your vagus nerve - the nerve that tells your body it's safe to calm down. We help your nervous system shift out of chronic sympathetic mode so shoulders can finally release.

Your shoulders are trying to tell you something. They're holding stress you haven't processed, the worry you can't control, and responsibility you're carrying alone.

What would it feel like to put it down?

We are about to challenge something you've been told is essential for baby sleep.
Swaddling.
Arms pinned tight.
Legs straight.
"Babies need it to sleep." "It's the only way to prevent the startle reflex."

But here's what they're not telling you: Every time you restrict your baby's movement, you're restricting their neurological development.
Right now, your baby's brain is forming neural connections at a rate that will never happen again.
And what drives that process? Movement, sensory input, touch, and pressure. The feeling of their arms and legs moving through space is good for neurological development.

Every time your baby reaches, grasps, kicks, stretches - neural pathways are forming, brain-body connections are strengthening, and their nervous system is integrating sensory information that literally builds their brain.

Swaddling stops all of that.

Arms pinned means no reaching, no grasping, no self-soothing.
Legs straight means no natural hip movement, no proprioceptive feedback.

And the startle reflex? It's supposed to be there. It's a primitive reflex that should naturally integrate as your baby's nervous system matures. When you restrict it, you're not allowing it the opportunity to integrate.

"But my baby won't sleep without being swaddled."
I hear you.

Babies who "need" swaddling usually have nervous system dysregulation - often from birth.

The tight wrap isn't fixing their sleep problem- it's masking their nervous system dysregulation. When we address that through gentle adjustments - releasing birth trauma, supporting their nervous system - sleep improves naturally, without restricting the movement their developing brain desperately needs.
Imagine your baby sleeping peacefully with arms free- self-soothing and their brain developing optimally because you gave them the gift of free movement.

You don't have to trade development for sleep.
There's another way.

You know the pattern by heart- Burning pain, that urgent feeling, rushing for another round of antibiotics.
Relief for a few weeks, then you're right back where you started. 💧
They just keep coming back... You've tried everything - cranberry everything, probiotics, drinking so much water you're practically floating. Your doctor keeps saying "some women are just prone to them."

You're not "just prone" to anything and your UTI problem isn't actually in your bladder. Your bladder is controlled by nerves from your lower back and sacrum.
These nerves tell your bladder when it's full, control the muscles that help you fully empty, coordinate your pelvic floor, and regulate your immune response to bacteria.
When your lower spine or sacrum under tension, those nerve signals get disrupted.
And boom - infection. Your immune system is also controlled by your nervous system and when the nerve flow is compromised, your defense against bacteria is weaker. Antibiotics kill the bacteria, but they don't answer why your bladder isn't emptying fully or why your immune system keeps letting bacteria proliferate when it should handle it no problem.

Imagine this: Waking up without that constant anxiety of "is it starting again?" Going on vacation without packing antibiotics "just in case." Living your life without constantly thinking about your bladder.

We restore nerve flow to your bladder through lower back and sacral adjustments. When nervous system function is restored, recurring UTIs stop. We have watched women who were getting UTIs every other month go years without one.

You deserve to stop living on antibiotics.
That's what we're here for.

Do you notice changes in your kids behavior at this time of year? You aren't imagining it. This time of year can be really hard on some kiddos especially as the season is changing. 🌸

If your sweet kid is suddenly melting down over EVERYTHING - wrong color cup, socks that "feel weird," leaving the park - welcome to spring nervous system chaos.

Here's what's happening:
Daylight Saving Time disrupted their circadian rhythm. Sleep deprivation = dysregulation = tantrums.

Temperature fluctuations (70° one day, 40° the next) - their bodies are constantly adapting. Regulation requires stability. Spring is chaos.

Longer daylight = more stimulation = harder to wind down = overtiredness.

Seasonal allergies create inflammation even in kids without diagnosed allergies. Histamine = irritability.

Routine changes - more outdoor time, different activities.
Toddlers thrive on routine. Spring disrupts it.

Sensory overload - brighter sun, louder birds, new textures, different smells. OVERWHELMING.

Your toddler isn't being "bad." Their nervous system is overwhelmed.

How chiropractic helps:
✓ Regulate stress response so they adapt without constant fight-or-flight
✓ Support sleep by addressing spinal tension
✓ Immune support - regulated nervous system = less histamine reaction
✓ Sensory processing support (brainstem is where filtering happens)
✓ Build resilience through seasonal transitions

What else can support their little bodies?
Morning sunlight, consistent bedtime, outdoor play, co-regulation (you staying calm), reduce sugar, patience.

Your toddler isn't broken. Spring is just a lot for their developing nervous system.
Get them adjusted + regulated this season with Abundant Health.

The upper neck controls more than you think. C1 and C2 - two tiny bones protecting your brainstem - affect your emotions, ears, throat, thyroid, and entire physical health. 🧠

Your brainstem controls every automatic function keeping you alive: heart rate, breathing, sleep, digestion, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and more.

When C1 or C2 are under stress (from birth trauma, falls, car accidents, poor posture, chronic stress), they can compress or irritate the brainstem - and everything goes wrong.

What your upper neck controls:
🧠 Emotional health - The vagus nerve (your calm nerve) exits at the upper neck. Misalignment decreases vagal tone = anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation

👂 Ears/nose/throat - Nerves controlling drainage and immunity exit from upper cervical spine. stress and tension to the neck = chronic ear infections, sinus issues, frequent throat infections

🦋 Thyroid function - Nerve signals from brain to thyroid pass through C1/C2. Disrupted signals = thyroid dysfunction (fatigue, weight gain, brain fog)

💪 Overall physical health - Blood flow to brain, cerebrospinal fluid flow, all nerve signals to your body start here. Upper neck imbalance affects EVERYTHING downstream.

Intentional and specific neck adjustments require specialized training that restores brainstem function.
When the upper neck is in a state of balance, everything downstream improves.

Picky eating isn't just about the food. It's a sensory issue. And sensory issues are nervous system issues. 🍎

If your child only eats 5-7 safe foods, gags at new textures, has meltdowns over food touching on the plate, and won't try anything new despite all your efforts - this isn't behavioral. It's neurological.

Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) happens when the nervous system can't properly filter and integrate sensory input. For eating, this means certain foods trigger fight-or-flight response just from sight, smell, or texture.

Their nervous system perceives food as a THREAT. It's not willful - it's physiological.

Sensory processing happens in the brainstem. When there's dysfunction (from birth trauma, spinal misalignment, developmental stress), sensory input isn't filtered properly, everything feels more intense, and normal experiences become overwhelming.

Chiropractic care (especially upper cervical and cranial work) removes interference at the brainstem, supports vagus nerve function, improves the nervous system's ability to filter sensory input, and helps the body feel SAFE - which makes trying new things possible.

If you or your child get strep 3-4+ times a year, you're stuck in the antibiotic cycle, or your doctor is talking about removing tonsils - listen up.

Strep bacteria is everywhere. Most people are exposed but don't get infected. So why do YOU keep getting sick?

Because your immune system isn't mounting an effective defense and your immune system is controlled by your nervous system.

The nerves that regulate immune function, lymphatic drainage, and throat/tonsil immunity all exit from the upper cervical spine. When there's misalignment, nerve signals are disrupted, and your body can't fight off infections it should easily handle.

Antibiotics kill the bacteria, but they don't address WHY your immune system let it proliferate in the first place.

Chiropractic care removes nervous system interference, supports lymphatic drainage, helps shift you out of chronic stress mode (which suppresses immunity), and builds immune resilience.

Are you struggling with pain while breastfeeding? Check your posture before you blame your latch. 🤱

Most lactation support focuses on how you're holding the baby. But here's what's missing: how is YOUR body positioned?

When you're hunched over for every feed - shoulders rounded, neck craned down, upper back curved forward - you're creating:
-Massive tension in your neck, shoulders, and upper back
-Rib stress and tension that restricts breathing and positioning
-Spinal stress that affects your nervous system's ability to relax (which you need for letdown)
-Physical strain that makes feeding uncomfortable for YOU

And when your body hurts, feeding becomes something you dread instead of enjoy.

The posture mistakes most moms make:
❌ Leaning down to baby instead of bringing baby up to breast
❌ Hunching shoulders forward
❌ Craning neck to watch the latch
❌ No back support
❌ Arms unsupported (holding baby's full weight)

What proper positioning looks like:
✓ Bring baby TO your breast (use pillows to elevate)
✓ Shoulders relaxed and back
✓ Lumbar support behind lower back
✓ Head neutral (not constantly looking down)
✓ Arms supported on pillows or armrests

If you were experiencing pain during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery - you physically CAN'T maintain good posture, even when you try.
Your body is stuck in compensation patterns, your ribs are under stress, and your upper back is locked in a forward curve.

This is where chiropractic care becomes essential for breastfeeding moms:
We balance the neuro-spinal system (especially upper back and ribs), release chronic tension in neck and shoulders, restore proper posture so comfortable positioning is possible, and support your nervous system so you can actually relax during feeds.

When your body is in a state of ease and your nervous system is regulated, breastfeeding gets SO much easier - for you AND baby.
