Medical societies across specalites as well as the world agree. There is no association with acetaminophen usage in pregnancy and causing autism. There is no one cause of autism. Not taking acetaminophen in pregnancy is not a cure for autism. Acetaminophen usage in pregnancy for appropriate indications is still absolutely the favored and safe medication to take.

While bittersweet for our Westside and Lutheran Hospital family, we are excited for this next phase for Dr Sweeney. Between biking adventures and spending time with their children and grandchildren, there will be no shortage of memories to fill the days.
