Throughout the year, we provide direct assistance to more than 3,000 pediatric patients and their families in need. Thousands of babies in NICUs receive precious donor human milk, children will be matched with loving companion dogs, nurses and medical support staff will participate in training and service missions and thousands of dollars will be awarded to organizations who share in our mission.

Through our Patient and Family Assistance Program, we support families with children facing serious illness or hospitalization by helping with bill payments, gas, groceries, lodging, car seats, and transportation. These everyday essentials quickly add up — and your support helps ease that burden so families can focus on what matters most: being there for their child.

One way you can help make a difference? Join us at the Colfax Marathon! When you register to run with Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, you’ll be helping support pediatric patients.

Before Kadence was even born, her mom Kendra knew she would need special care. Diagnosed with a heart condition in utero, Kadence had her first surgery at just a few months old at HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s in Denver. Traveling from Wyoming, the family leaned on Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation (RMCHF) for lodging and support, helping them focus on what mattered most—being there for Kadence.

Fast forward nine years later, Kadence faced a complication requiring another surgery. The surgery she had as a baby was successful, but she was experiencing a restriction in her pulmonary valve. Again, the Foundation helped with travel costs and lodging. This time, Kadence found comfort in a furry friend—Posey, one of RMC’s facility dogs supported by RMCHF’s PAWS for RMC program. Posey helped her relax during appointments, snuggle after surgery, and even take her first steps in recovery.🐶⭐

Beyond medical care, families often face unexpected challenges like time away from work, travel, lifestyle changes, and the emotional and physical toll of caring for a critically ill child.
