About Us
A Brighter Community is a small day program in Arvada, Colorado where adults with developmental, intellectual and physical dis-ABILITIES receive individualized services from a highly educated, devoted and caring staff. A Brighter Community (ABC) is a program for people who are looking for more involvement in the community and a higher level of meaning in their lives. Much like the mission of the YMCA, ABC embraces Christian principles that focus on the growth and well-being of the whole person - mind, body and spirit. All faiths are welcome and we love and appreciate DIVERSITY. ABC was created by Robin Sattel, a disability advocate, author and mother of two with developmental disabilities, and Leah Martin, a passionate believer in the inherent worth of all people - especially the amazing individuals we serve. Robin, Leah and the entire ABC staff endeavor to set the Gold Standard for all adult day services in Colorado.
