Most women are taught that perimenopause = hot flashes.

But that’s only one tiny piece of the picture.

What I see every day in my practice is something far more complex — and far more frustrating for the women living through it.

Perimenopause can show up as exhaustion that hits the moment you open your eyes… anxiety that feels like it came out of nowhere… weight gain that ignores your best intentions… or waking up at 2–3 AM night after night, wondering what’s wrong.

And the hardest part?
So many women are told, “Everything looks normal.”
Meanwhile, they feel anything but normal.

I can't tell you how many women I see who've been told, "Your labs are normal," yet they're exhausted, moody, not sleeping, gaining weight, and barely hanging on.

The truth? NORMAL doesn't mean OPTIMAL. Conventional medicine looks at disease ranges, not wellness. So even when your labs look "fine," your body may be waving every red flag it has, begging for balance, rest, and nourishment.

When we actually listen to the body and get to the root causes-- stress, hormone shifts, nutrient depletion, liver overload--we see energy return, sleep improve, and that spark come back.

Spring time, time to build our SOLAR CALLUS. The solar callus is our natural sun block. It the best way to prepare the body to absorb sunlight for immunity and wellness, but also, offers protection from longer sun exposure during the summer months, and for vitamin D production.

How do you build your solar callus? By going out in the sun 🌞 at sunset and sunrise. The light at these times of day contains no blue light nor UV rays. It has infrared that will prepare your skin for the upcoming UV rays. You need frequent and regular exposure, meaning daily.

Once you have built your sun callus, you will then be able to expose your skin to the high UV rays safely during midday and produce vitamin D, which most people are extremely deficient in because of blue light exposure in our homes.
