Seven things I want you to know about laser tattoo removal.

1. Tattoo removal takes time. Most full removals take about a year and a half to two years to complete. There is no guaranteed way to speed up the process. If you have a goal such as wanting your tattoo off before your wedding, you need to start your removal process YESTERDAY!

2. When I say stay out of the sun, I mean.... STAY OUT OF THE SUN!!!! Getting sun on your freshly layered tattoo WILL result in hypopigmentation. (Lightening of the skin.) Once hypopigmentation starts, it's nearly impossible to correct.

3. Laser tattoo removal is NOT expensive. An average treatment at New Beginnings Tattoo Removal is about $300. We recommend that you treat once every eight to twelve weeks. When you break down the cost, that means that your removal will only cost you $150 to $100 per month.

4. Laser tattoo removal will NOT scar you! The ONLY way you will be left with a scar after laser tattoo removal is IF your artist was way too heavy handed, if you were treated with a counterfeit laser, or if you do not carefully follow aftercare instructions.

5. Laser tattoo removal can be painful. Some clients report no pain, some clients report some pain but it is manageable, some clients chose to use our RX numbing cream to help stay comfortable.

6. The actual tattoo removal treatment is fast. A tattoo the size of a business card takes about 60-90 seconds to treat.

7. Tattoo removal is safe. When a client is treated properly and they follow aftercare instructions, there is almost zero risk of an adverse reaction.

There are infinite ways to make tattoo ink. Sometimes, tattoo ink is made out of pencil lead. When the pencil lead is hit with the laser, it sparkles! I always get excited when that happens. It looks so cool!
I wish the video was able to capture it! I knew right away that the ring finger was tattooed with pencil lead.

Before and immediately after one treatment. We did a text consultation for this tattoo and estimated that we would need about ten treatments. When this client showed up and I was able to see the tattoo in person, we went from estimating that we will need ten treatments down to estimating that we will need closer to six treatments or so.
THEN we did our first treatment. This client responded really well and now we are estimating that we will only need about four treatments or so to achieve full removal!

I tend to over estimate sometimes, but I'd rather over estimate then under estimate. The goal is to be your hero and not your zero.
