While Stress is unavoidable and external events are out of our control, it is, however, in our control of how we react to stress or trauma and cope with the demands that are put upon us. When experiencing stress or trauma, our body & mind is often reacting with a "fight/flight/freeze" response. If we do not release this maladaptive response (which, by the way, was at one point useful and possibly life saving) our body & mind re-experience this learned reaction and is repeating the same pattern. Together, you and me, we find the emotional connection to the trauma and stress and work on releasing it for your being to feel whole and return to a state of wellness. Through gaining new awareness, you can make connections and tap into your internal resources that foster healing. Services:

The sighing breath technique is a powerful way to release built-up emotions. Sit or stand with a straight spine and relaxed shoulders. Inhale deeply through your nose, filling your lungs fully. Then, exhale through your mouth with an audible sigh, letting go of stress or tension with each breath.

For deeper emotional release, cross your hands over your chest and press the grooves below your collarbone with your index and middle fingers as you sigh. Visualize any lingering emotions leaving with each exhale. Repeat this several times, feeling a sense of relief and calm settling in.

Given the times we are living in right now, we need self-care skills in order to deal with the painful realization that half this country has a different ideology that does not support inclusivity, equal rights, basic human rights, and think they have the right to tell a woman what to do with her own body.
And if you happen to be from the opposite side and have anxiety because your family member, friend, neighbor, coworker etc befriended you or does not want to talk to you, please know that this butterfly hug can be a source of comfort.
