YOU’RE OPENING A SECOND LOCATION? Yes. Mutiny Beach is a BBQ-inspired beachfront bar and grill located inside Convention Hall on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.

SO THE ORIGINAL STORE IS STAYING OPEN? Yes. Asbury Park’s friendly, neighborhood BBQ joint at 808 5th Ave. will continue on serving our local crowd as usual. The flagship store will be doing the smoking for the new beachfront location. 5th Avenue is still your go-to stop for great BBQ— takeout orders, catering, meats by the pound, large portion sides, Wednesday and Thursday deals, and anytime when heading to the boardwalk feels like a hassle. Two different places with two unique experiences but the same commitment to quality food and friendly service. We truly hope that our amazing regulars will enjoy them both.

IS IT GOING TO BE THE SAME
MENU? We’re going to feature some of the core BBQ classics that we built the Mutiny name on, but we’ve broadened the menu to include some fresh, new options for beachgoers. Many of the new items are dishes we tested as specials over the years at the 5th Avenue location. High quality, freshly smoked BBQ cooked old school outdoors with nothing but wood will remain the cornerstone of our culinary approach.

WHAT ABOUT ALCOHOL? Mutiny Beach will have full bars inside and outside including a wide selection of rum and margarita buckets, signature cocktails, high end bourbons, and a great beer selection. Our 5th Avenue location remains BYOB.

ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW? We have a TON of live music planned throughout the summer and a few special events in the works. New merch will be coming soon to both spots. We’re opening our doors on Friday, May 2nd and we hope to see you there.

IS TOM EVER GOING TO SLEEP AGAIN? Maybe. In the fall possibly. Tom will still be up before dawn getting the smoker lit and prepping all of our meat by hand. He’ll spend time at both locations to ensure that the both the food and the guest experience are both top notch as always. 🐷🏴‍☠️
