In roughly 365 days you’re either going to look back and say, oh wow, where did the time go, or you’ll look back and say, wow, all that work was WORTH IT.

Let’s make it a year of WORTH IT.

1. Prioritize your health & sleep. Do whatever it takes and make it a full time job. Your body is not getting younger so the real flex isn’t fooling everyone that you just look younger … it’s also FEELING better. The first few days, weeks, and months will be harder — but, once you see and feel results, it will be more and more rewarding.

2. Surround yourself with people who bring you peace. You deserve nothing less. Allow your needs and wants to be made known and build a strong relationship with those who support your success. Align yourself with those who align with you.

3. Make space for yourself. What does that mean? It means if you’re feeling down, be the safety net that with which you pull yourself up. If you need space from something or someone, take it - peacefully. If you need time to workout or be healthier, then carve it out. You’re important enough to demand a little space in this world too.

Real beauty isn’t about reaching some pinnacle of perfection. Quite honestly, that can be exhausting and self-destructive.

So, how do we magnify our beauty and attract what we want to attract? We focus on staying in our soft, but strong, feminine energy.

This isn’t something that happens overnight though. It’s a deliberate retraining of our psyche to be gentler and kinder to ourselves so that we feel worthy of self love, self care, and grace in the highest sense of the word.

So, how do we transition to and stay in our soft, strong feminine? Here are 3 things we can focus on:

1) MAGNIFY GRATITUDE - we hyperfocus on the things our body has been through, the things it can push through, and the challenges it rises to everyday. This is why I find joy and exhilaration in working out … it’s not about aesthetics, it’s about knowing that I can give my body a task that seems daunting and my mind and body can work together to achieve it. And, for that I recognize it in gratitude.

2) STOP COMPARING - it’s a losing game. Period. We are each divine and different. In that is our beauty. If we continually see others and chase after a transformation that makes us less ourselves and more like someone else, then we get stuck in that “grass is always greener” mindset. Instead of comparing, recognize the things you are and magnify those strengths — not just for your own good, but stretch that out to be the good that blesses others too.

3) STATE YOUR DESIRES - If we never spend time thinking on the things that WE need, then we make an overreaching decision to only focus on what others need. Over time, this erodes who we are and morphs us into women who are so out of touch with ourselves we forget what even brings us joy or makes us feel loved or whole. Even taking 5 minutes a day to get back in touch with ourselves and ask, what do I need to feel nurtured today can help us feel stronger, more radiant, and more loved. We are still capable of giving to others, but we do that more effectively when we give to ourselves first.

Focus on these and watch yourself glow up ❤️

I guess as you get a little older, you really do get wiser by way of realizing what is actually on “your side of the street.” Honestly, I probably spent way too many decades worrying about what other people thought — which would (shamefully) dictate what should have been a personal decision. I doubt I’m unusual in that sense; however, now that I’ve experienced both sides, I can testify that what comes from your OWN heart and mind will resonate with your soul far better than a people pleasing decision.

So, about a week ago, I decided to write down a few things. I wanted to know for myself what I actually live for … and, even what I don’t.

Here are a few of the things I wrote down and, if you’re willing, I think you should grab a pen and paper and write a few of your own “get to know yourself” bullet points too.

Aging isn’t about losing yourself. It’s about finally becoming your own best friend — REALLY knowing and then REALLY loving your true self ❤️

Things I Don’t Care About:
- Looking Good for a Man
- Thigh Gaps
- Comparing Myself to Other Women
- Trying to Reach Perfection
- Bringing Someone Else Down to Lift Myself Up

Things I Do Care About:
- Authentic and REAL People
- Wearing Whatever I Feel Good In
- Teaching My Kids That People Are More Important Than Things
- Taking Care of My Body So I Can Live Well
- Being A Little Better Than I Was Yesterday
