Imagine being a pro athlete and every time you have a game, no matter how well you do … even if you win the pinnacle event — it feels never, ever good enough. It. Gets. Exhausting.

That can be how aesthetics is dangerous for women. And, it’s the number one reason I hate it.

No one ever talks about how women look at social media and then internalize how they think the “should look” based on younger, filtered, fake profiles. But, it happens every second of every day. And, then the next thing you know, you’ve spiraled into thinking that your own beauty is just NOT ENOUGH.

So, what’s the fix? Is it avoiding aesthetic treatments altogether? Or is it realizing that we can use them as tools while maintaining our own unique beauty?

My personal preference is to utilize aesthetics as a tool while maintaining individuality.
