A little intro/bio about me:)
I am proud to say I was born and raised right here in Asheville! I have had a deep love and connection with animals and nature for as long as I can remember and have always been the nurturing type. I enjoy hiking, camping, yoga and bouldering when I get the chance. In my free time I love to paint, write and make wire jewelry.
I began ballet dancing at age 5 and was a pre professional by age 11, and was accepted into the International Ballet Academy at age 12, although I stopped short for several reasons…one being injury related. Growing up in the dance world really gave me a knowledge of anatomy and how the muscles work together which I believe helped me a lot down the road in massage school.
I became fascinated by midwifery in 2008. In 2014 at the birth of my first child, I knew that attending home births was my calling and initially enrolled in massage school with the desire to specialize in prenatal massage, in order to bring that skill with me when helping mothers on their labor journey. However, massage school took me on a path I was not expecting when I first walked in. It opened me up to the wonderful world of spirituality and mindfulness. I attended the Asheville School of Massage and Yoga’s 675 hour program and stayed at the school for 2 more school years, working in their extended study program and practicing on many members of the community.
I left the educational setting, not only specializing in prenatal massage, but with a deep love, passion and talent for sports/injury rehabilitation massage, deep tissue and energy work. I am a very versatile therapist, with the ability to do just about any pressure and am currently furthering my education by learning more about Cranio sacral therapy, trauma release, sound healing, gua sha, reflexology, toe reading and shamanism.
